That article is so incredibly dumb. While some players may go, it can be argued that more players will pick rugby. Put your self in the shoes of a talented 18 year old you have the choice rugby or league. You can pick rugby knowing you can go back and get 1m outside the cap to play NRL. Once...

I believe these skills need to be coached from the youngest levels of juniors. To make sure every player is proficient. Also skills like kicking is a perfect skill to be worked on during the long super rugby off season

I will complain if any side gets cut. Was never in favour of reducing to 4 teams.

And that’s the sort of myopic thinking that gets us nowhere. Until the 90s it was rare for players to kick both feet. Wasn’t seen as a required, now it is. We can sit back and say it’s not needed, we can sit back and stick with the status quo of only the 10 kicking. Or we can take the game...

I don’t get all the moaning about centralisation. It’s what the game needs the state unions are there to take care of the development of the game

It’s simply not acceptable to rely on one player to kick the ball. Rugby is stuck in the Stone Age when it comes to this. There should be an emphasis in the pathways placed on this. If you play Aussie rules you are told from the age of 4-5 that if you want to make it you have to be able to...

To be fair Foote said he only didn’t kick this year because he was managing a groin injury. Every test back needs to be able to kick preferably off both feet. It is such a basic concept where rugby is so far behind other sports.

Everyone has to be able to catch, pass, run, tackle and kick. It’s not hard kicking is a basic skill furthermore players need to be able to kick both feet.

It’s good to see we signed a sports psychologist to work with the lads. The mental side of all sport is huge.

Yeah I do agree but it’s just an example of how our system is broken

With a 15 game season and 5 teams we can never blood and bring through players effectively. They may get a few minutes off the bench here and there but it’s not enough. In France they play close on 40 games in a season and have 30 pro teams. There are opportunities galore

Look this is why we need more professional sides. The way the northern hemisphere nations are going of recruiting players undermines international rugby

Exactly, they are also a powerful nation in their own right and don’t need to go poaching players

Mate, every hood fortune for him in his club career sure but let’s be real we don’t want to see him be successful for France they are already so much better than us. We don’t want to see him win a World Cup in 27

You’d find there is a lot higher rates of diversity in rugby than Aussie rules. Yes Australian rules has a higher participation rate in indigenous communities than Rugby Union. But outside of the indigenous lads it’s incredibly few and far between. There are two non white captains across 5...
