    Wallabies 2020

Hard to answer that question without knowing the form of our overseas players, but you'd think Kerevi, Skelton, Arnold, Latu and Coleman would come into consideration.

I still like one of my wingers to be able to kick, which is why DHP or Maddocks or Banks or Hodge are in the mix.

Instead of just taking (predictable) pot shots, why don't you name some names? Who from the Brumbies have we overlooked here? Most squads/teams on here have featured at least eight or nine Brumbies.

    Wallabies 2020

Yeah I wouldn't disagree. But I think those guys are waiting in the wings - Petaia, Lolesio, McDermott, Wilson, Nawaqanitawase, McReight, etc. Hopefully these guys can continue to develop through the Super season so they can start putting real heat on our more established options. I also...

    Wallabies 2020

Maybe for now that's true. But I think there is room for plenty of improvement. Our prop stocks are as good as I can ever remember them - we have four legitimately world class options to choose from. We've got young talent in the backrow, and a few exciting young backs coming through...

    Wallabies 2020

Maybe. It will be interesting to see. I still think he's got something to offer, and at very least would be good to have around a young squad.

    Wallabies 2020

I thought about this. I just don't think Lolesio or Harrison make sense on the bench, as they can only play 10. If JOC (James O'Connor) gets injured, I'd want To'omua to step into 10. If he doesn't, I'm just not sure we need to sub off our 10. I'd prefer someone with a bit of spark, who can add something off...

    Wallabies 2020

Maybe. But if Rennie decides to bypass Simmons, then we're getting an uncapped player in that spot (unless he picks LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto)). Of the uncapped locks running around, Philip to me is the standout candidate. Good carrier and very strong in the lineout, as we saw on Friday. .

    Wallabies 2020

OK so I think we've seen enough of this season to make some early predictions for how the Wallabies will look. 1. Sio or Slipper 2. Fainga'a or Mafi 3. AAA 4. Rodda 5. Philip 6. Valetini 7. Hooper 8. Naisirani 9. McDermott 10. JOC (James O'Connor) 11. Koroibete 12. To'omua 13. Kuridrani 14. Banks 15. DHP...

Super Rugby Round 5: Waratahs vs Lions - Friday 28 February 2020 Super Rugby @ BankWest Stadium 7:15pm

Jeez Hawko I get that but he had a shot right in front from 30 out and it wouldn't have gone through a second set of posts. Harrison's place kicking wasn't horribe, I thought. Didn't have any easy shots and from memory was about 50%. I'd stick with him.

    Reds v Sharks, Rnd 5 2020, Lang Park Sat 29 7:15 EDST

It was a weird sort of game, and I think the scoreline was about right. As expected, the Sharks were just a bit better than the Reds in most facets. The big three being lineout, scrum and goalkicking. The Reds needed things to go their way to chalk the win, and they certainly had the rub of...

Super Rugby Round 5: Waratahs vs Lions - Friday 28 February 2020 Super Rugby @ BankWest Stadium 7:15pm

Harrison has been fantastic. His little one percenters are great, presence at the breakdown, good defence etc.

    Wallabies 2020

I don't think this is a good idea. McKellar is a good coach, but to anoint him now as Rennie's successor is madness. And it sets him up to fail like Larkham did. Let the bloke develop his craft at Super level, and maybe actually win something. And then maybe even let him go overseas and learn...

Ox Nche has to be one of the better prop names in world rugby at the moment. Out of interest, how do you pronounce that surname? I'd guess it's 'ni-ch' but I've honestly got no idea.

Anyone know what this might mean for RA? https://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/rugby-union/venture-capital-firms-circle-southern-hemisphere-rugby/news-story/27102c0383d4f38764a78a0a28a9f636

    Hometown Refs

As I understand it, the final stat puts this discussion to rest. In SA, local refs favour the home side by 3.67 penalties per game. At the same grounds, with the same teams (more or less), neutral refs only give an advantage of 0.36 penalties per game. So if you're playing in SA and a local...

We don't have to go through all this again. Maybe we hold discussion on Castle's performance as CEO until after the TV deal is finalised. I think all the points have been raised on both sides of the debate.

Other than Folau, isn't Castle doing these things? Under the new TV deal we've flagged a national club comp of some description, a review of the NRC and the development of better coaching pathways.
