No way RA turfs out their next apparent heir in McKellar. I do think that coaching team could be very useful and the guidance Eddie and Laurie can give Razor would be invaluable. I just don't see it happening.

Only change I'd make Reg is Asiata over Nasser. I thought Richie brought a better ball carrying game that Nasser did and with Taniela out, I'd be thinking we need more carriers than doers.

Yeap I remember reading that as well Phil. Hopefully it wasn't signed as I think having Eddie around on at least a part time basis to be a sounding board could be beneficial to rugby in Australia as all coaches should be using his IP.

Appointing Razor feels a tad like Deans 2.0. Untested in an environment that isn't the Crusaders. If RA wants to move from Rennie after next year, I'd be approaching Robertson and Eddie, with Eddie taking up a consultant gig to support Razor as 'young' coaches need an experienced backroom.

Doesn't like the way the team is heading? Obviously your mate wasn't following the team in the mid 00's.

Speaking of 23, I was looking at the fixture list and realised we only play the Rebels and 'Tahs once, but the other 'Aussie' teams twice. Is this just to fit in all the rugby before the RWC or is this how the '24 competition will look as well?

Haha to be fair Reg, Will Genia was notorious for giving others a gobful when he stuffed up.

Maybe he'll play for England? https://www.rugbypass.com/news/northampton-sign-english-qualified-son-of-a-former-wallaby-forward-scott-young/

I think Leota offers more with the ball in hand than Holloway. I thought during the European tour, the back three of Holloway and Hooper meant Bobby V was doing all the ball running which made it way too predictable. Holloway had some good runs, but needs to be doing more (maybe I missed his...

Absolutely fantastic to comeback and win it there, didn't think it was going to happen so far behind. I'm really liking what Mark and Jordan offer on the wings, both help offset the aerial battle the NH teams like to get into. I'm definitely eating humble pie on why Mark got picked over...

    Wallabies 2023

Those who think the floodgates will open up RA scraps the rule are being a bit dramatic. French clubs will think twice if their Australian player is now able to be rushed to the otherside of the world. Other nations are starting to restrict via quotas on how may foreigners can be part of a...

Agreed FP - you'd have to be a fool to not understand why Hanigan and Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) got picked over others like Vunivalu.

Agreed - I personally thought Uru played better in the Aus A series + his form at the QPR Final was immense, but his injury ruled him out being selected. Hopefully Uru can put on a bit more size over this off-season as I don't think Australia has seen a better ball runner at 6 since that 1-3...

Asiata instead of Lonergan. Outside of that, the only Reds players left that are fit would be Daungunu and Wilson. I've got no problem with Wilson getting a rest and the likes of Samu/Gleeson/Hanigan be given a shot. This tour probably showed that for all the development Hanigan has made, he's...

All Brumbies tight 5. Then a 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11 combination of Waratahs. 12 out of the starting 15 play across two clubs.

Guess this team will be make or break for Ben Darwin's cohesive formula. It'd be close to the most "cohesive" team the Wallabies have put together in recent years?

Considering Eddie will be in his 70's come the US RWC, if I was the US, I'd be making him the DoR with Jamie Joseph the head coach.

Those wishing to change coaches, becareful what you wish for. Alan Jones is out of a job right now and would allow some of our players to flourish they're shared bible beliefs!

I don't believe in 'luck', the mantra of 'luck is where preparation meets opportunity' is what rings in my head when I hear someone is 'unlucky'. There's clearly something going wrong with the preparation the Wallabies have been doing. Tupou suffered a catastrophic injury when he was not...
