RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

The other option is that Cooper goes to first receiver in the attacking portion of the field and Foley is the roving player and wide play maker. He has a better running game than Cooper so is more suited to the wide role.

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

Not sure if it came up on the TV but we were sitting at that end if the ground and Wales simply failed to get the ball wide enough quick enough. Defense was awesome but Wales attack pretty average. I knew we had won it when we finally got the turnover, and pretty much cebrated like we had.

Why did you think you'd win if it was close at half time? Surely the impact the wallaby bench has been having would give you some pause for thought?

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

North and Roberts to bash it up at Foley and Gits all day long and try and take them out of the game. Good tactic for Wales as lobby as they then don't turn it over at ruck time by angling towards Pockock and McMahon. McMahon might have to act like a bit of a bodyguard for the inside backs. He...

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

Id keep most of the uninjured players but maybe swap in a few to freshen some guys up. Slipper for Sio Kepu for Holmes McCalman for Pocock To'omua for Giteau only if injured Mitchell for Horne Beale for Folau I definitely wouldn't change Moore, Douglas, Simmons, Genia, Foley, Kuridrani. Some...

RWC: AUS v URU (Villa Park, Birmingham): POOL A; 9pm (AEST) Sunday 27 September

Of course it matters. If that is the new standard for a yellow card we should see at least 5 per game.

RWC: AUS v URU (Villa Park, Birmingham): POOL A; 9pm (AEST) Sunday 27 September

Unless there is an injury to Foley, Cooper is going to head overseas 2 games short of the magic 60 number.

RWC: AUS v URU (Villa Park, Birmingham): POOL A; 9pm (AEST) Sunday 27 September

I'm liking the idea of McMahon. Risky, but we may as well go all in with our best players. If he is in for Skelton it isn't like our lineout misses anything and he has more impact than Skelton and McCalman.

Not enough straight runners. Need To'omua and the loosies to show the way here.

I agree but it is going to be a soft game if that is a yellow. Joke decision.

    RWC: Australia v Fiji - 23 September 16:45, Millenium Stadium(24 September 1:45 AEST)

Four key areas (IMO) for the low victory margin: 1. Lineout - obviously 2. Kicking away too much in the last 30 3. Not bringing on To'omua earlier 4. Jackson poor calls particularly missing the obvious hand in the ruck before the Fiji try

Agree, as then Skelton can come on for Douglas when Fardy has moved to 8 with no weakening of the lineout.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I think Cheika has really missed a trick by not playing To'omua more. For me he is the clear standout 'test class' player in either 10 or 12, but needed more time to settle and gain confidence at 10 in particular. Defense, field position and directness of attack are the key jobs of a 10-12 in...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

They've shown their hand on this already - they will simply run 4 man lineouts with this combo on the field. However I can't see how Skelton can play against the welsh or English anyway - he is also our weakest scrummaging lock and we can't take a chance against those teams.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Maybe. But I don't think it will necessarily be an amazing attack that wins this World Cup. First comes defence, next comes field position, then set piece and lastly attack. Giteau and To'omua combo should have a good advantage in the first three areas. Anyway my point was more - why weren't...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I think we have more chance winning the cup with a To'omua Giteau combination than any other. I wish they had got more time together in the RC.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I don't get this reasoning. As far as I can see Skelton has had bugger all impact in his games. In fact when you look at our weakening scrum and lineout when he comes on is suggest that mostly his impact has been negative. The set piece is going to be key to getting us far in the World Cup. A...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I get this whole 2 x XV business but since there is 31 players in the squad I don't see why we still couldn't have had 3 hookers?

Bigger is not always better - well not for the Wallabies.

The other 3 of the back five to complement Pooper must be something like: Simmons Douglas Fardy With Mumm and Skelton on the bench. When Skelton comes on they go to a short lineout? Apart from the imbalance of Skelton it carries risk with Douglas likely lack of match fitness. A more...
