I believe one of Benazzi's other core proposals was looking at an African Nations Cup, with France and South Africa being key supporting partners of the African nations' development. Can't help but think that a) this was a far too narrow target for Tier-2 growth, and b) that SA and France...

Judging by his reaction this morning, probably Franco-African

Dear god, I just had a look through his recent tweets. It almost puts Trump to shame.

Happy to be corrected, but I think Robinson (at least on the surface) proposed more wholistic changes to the game and its management - Benazzi's focus seemed to be more regional, specifically looking to growth in Africa. To me, it seems like a good outcome. Edit: I should also mention that it...

There was a recent update to suggest that the anonymous JAS backer was one of McLennan's buddies (via the foundation) - once McLennan was gone, so was the money, leaving post-McLennan RA to find the cash elsewhere. All of it absolutely reeks.

Sure - I'd argue that this does not have the same widely-appealing benefit of, for lack of a better term, societal impact to get investors involved - or at the very least, it's far a far more niche market. Hope it goes well for all involved though.

I mean, is there a wilder variation than throwing a centre in the lineout in his second ever professional rugby match? Hold on, I think that could be Rassie on the phone...

I tell you what, this is quite a nice problem to have.

My initial response was that I hate it, and I think I still do, but there could be some merit to it. Last week the wobs looked most threatening playing tight for several phases then going wide when an opportunity presented. I worry about Kerevi's distribution game, particularly in comparison to...

Watching it again this morning, I feel Donaldson and McReight aren't getting enough credit for their work in that sequence.

Naturally - but I guess there's niggles (those we hear nothing about), then there's niggles

Seeing how heavily his knee was strapped, I don't think that's surprising. The bigger issue is he's seemingly been carrying niggles since he returned.

It was very well documented that we did try to - but we couldn’t compete with a $1.7m offer from the Roosters.

Assuming it's a single-season contract (nothing else has been announced as yet), you have to feel '25 is very make or break for him. Hope he stays healthy and smashes it out of the park.

I'd missed it initially, like many others who were focussed on LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), but it was pretty not great from Itoje - just a straight up tackle (albeit seemingly aborted after contact) to Jorgenson's lower legs. Jorgo lands on his hip and shoulder and was pretty lucky not to rotate further forward given...
