I'm just going to copy and save this comment, as I'll probably want to post it again on this thread in 7 years time

RWC QF 1 WAL v RSA (Twickenham) 18th Oct 0200 AEDT

The Boks are a bit of a mystery to me at the moment. They haven't been as impressive as people are suggesting. The beat a Samoan team that was pretty dreadful for most of the tournament. They looked good against Scotland, but stylistically that was a great match up for them. Scotland didn't...

RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

I don't know the Scottish team very well. How does the loss of Ford and Gray affect them and how do the replacements compare?

    That's a pretty sight

    The Fallout from RWC 2015

Sure. Still I would have thought those that go further in the tournament should get a larger share of the profits. After all they are all contributing more to the tournament, and thus more responsible for the profits made

Has anyone done the math as to whether we go to number 1 if the All Blacks lose to France this weekend? France are down in 7th or something at the moment.

    The Fallout from RWC 2015

Yeh seems like the IRB are screwing the teams a bit. If your team goes all the way to the finals, you should get a portion of the profits.

Whilst lying on his massive pile of money. But yes I agree.

    The Fallout from RWC 2015

Excuse my ignorance if this was already dealt with, but what extra funds do the ARU receive depending on whether we are eliminated in the QF, SF or the Final, or actually win the thing?

RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

I'm expecting Pocock might sit this one out. It sounds to me that there is a legitimate concern that Pocock might further damage his hammy if he returns too soon. Whilst I don't think Cheika would "rest" Poe, I think he's smart enough to realise that our chances of winning the cup diminish...

RWC QF 3 IRE v ARG (Millenium Stadium) 18th Oct 2300 AEDT

The big difference between the Poe incident and the O'Brien incident is the footage. The footage on Poe is a bit unclear. It looks like he kneed the player but you cant say with certainty what contact was made. O'Brien's is pretty clear cut. Hopefully no more than a week.

When the four TRC teams win this weekend, can we rename the World Cup "The Southern Hemisphere Knock-out Spectacular"?

RWC QF 2 NZ v FRA (Millenium Stadium) 18th Oct 0600 AEDT

Hope it's not Joubert. The guy has a raging hard-on for the All Blacks. I think the All Blacks will take this one. Could be close for 60 minutes but All Blacks should break away in the final 20.

RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

I don't know why people are even mentioning the Newcastle game. It was the perfect storm (no pun intended) that led to our loss. The weather made playing rugby virtually impossible. Our backs barely saw the ball. Mozza got hypothermia from standing at fullback the whole game with no involvement...

RWC QF 3 IRE v ARG (Millenium Stadium) 18th Oct 2300 AEDT

I'm hoping all of those guys are available, because at this end of the tournament you want to see teams at full strength. I was predicting an Ireland v Australia semi final but with no SOB, Sexton or O'Connell I think Argentina might take this. Argentina have the benefit of having played...

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

The Mumm penalty was board-line at best. Hard to see how you could send him off for that. I understand the CJ said repeat offences but it was only the second penalty at the line-out by my count and no warning given. Plus we'd just had a man sent to the bin. I posted prior to the game that I...

RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

I'm certainly not underestimating the Scots. Any side in the Six Nations is capable of beating the Wallabies on their day. The problem i see for Scotland is that I'm not sure I can identify an area where they are going to have an advantage against Australia. With respect to Scotland I think...

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

well that's a bit silly. surely the judiciary should take into account the magnitude of missing out on paying in SF or F. Well that certainly would be the intelligent way to approach sentencing, but I guess intelligence doesn't seem to have much of a bearing on the IRB's citing process.

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

surely from here on out the judiciary would want to be relatively lenient with suspensions given the magnitude of missing a world cup QF/SF/F. The Pocock incident looked for very uncertain. Even a one week suspension would be very harsh in the circumstances.

    RWC 2015

There's been a lot of criticism of the pool of death. Personally I must say it has made the pool stage of this world cup much more entertaining than the last few world cups. In past years the group stages has almost felt like a formality. It's not ideal to lose the host nation out before the QF...
