Aussie Player Exodus

The Ghost of Raelene

That seems like the best fit as well. Reds have a deeper squad than most in a lot of positions but that Lock may be the thinnest of the Aus sides. Force drop off after the starting pair so I'd say it's out of them. If he landed at the Brums it'd be a hell of a tight 5 down there since they have blooded younger guys like Shaw as well.

What does the coaching situation at the Titans means for Carter?
Probably not good for him continuing on there, but not necessarily bad. Whatever runs on the board he may have had with Hasler are basically gone now, and he'll have to start again with Hannay coming in from outside. Doesn't have to be bad for him, but it does mean he has a lot less time to convince the decision makers that he's worth another contract.

Might also make it slightly easier to get out of his deal early, if they're keen to change up the squad a bit.

The poor bloke has been through enough and doesn't need to be added to the dumping ground of the Tah's 10. The Tahs have a pretty crappy record recently with Harrison, Tane and Donaldson all being chewed and spat out.
Eh he managed to look class at the Rebels, he'll be okay if he can stay fit.

I actually think he will end up making a good centre. I feel like the NRL is about to go through some evolution and blending of skills. We will see more edge forwards with a short kicking game and the long kicks being delegated around to centres and fullbacks more often.

There is just so much happening in the HIA space that teams will start trying to diversify their end of set options to protect the key playmakers from being the clear target.

We’ve seen it when they lowered the interchange the last time. Small guys were back. Locks back to being ball players and the utility (14) is a genuine position. They can’t just sit a backrower at centre now. They’re genuine centres again when you see Farnworth, Penisini, Toia, Best etc. not just a brute.

He could be good but he probably needs to slot into a top team and be brought through. Tough sledding to come into a poor side
