NSW AAGPS 2025 (banter and commentary)

Up and In

Chris McKivat (8)
Chairman,

I hate to remind you but there is in fact 2 Injured props. Armstrong (Gen Blue U16 2024) and Armarti (Premiership 1st XV 2024)
Shore, at full availability, have these current 1st XV injuries (there are other 2nds players injured not mentioned here):
Armati (back for Green after promoted from 2nds), Galligan, Sidwell, Reardon (back from 2nds for Frape after finger injury), Bass and Callagan
The 1st choice team on paper would most probably be (bold currently injured): Jarrett/Baxter/Armati - Galligan/Sidwell/Reardon/Stock - Clout - Greig/Bass - Robertson/Francis - Wendt/Hockey/Callaghan

+ Armstrong. Not sure who he would come in over, with little game time in the past year it’s hard to get a gauge.

Well done to those selected in representative teams.

For those who did not make the team they thought they should have, heads up high. There will be plenty more representative rugby to be played so keep working on your craft.

Glad to see that the Newington back-line has been imported in to the Firsts.

Anitela-Tsioussis and King are personal favourites of mine. Sharp attacking flair with creativity. They work together well, and with the big man O’Connor one outside that is a dangerous backline.

CAS should be strong this year, so hopefully we get another quality game like last year.

don’t forget D’Almedia (over Wendt every day of the week even on the wing) but plenty of injuries agreed maybe some back after the holidays.

Once D’Almeida comes back I have an inkling that Wendt goes into the centres, sending Robertson down into the 2s.

This influx of returners is going to spread some love through the ranks for Shore, especially in the backs. Good news for the 2s and 3s.
