Not sure you can blame the coach for such ridiculously butter-fingered handling that cost three tries in the first 15 minutes. They cut England to ribbons. Though Galthié would be well within his rights to kick Ramos from Twickers back to Toulouse for some of his braindead decision making.

Seems Ntamack won't be available v Italy because he wasn't officially released from the squad for last weekend's Toulouse match which would have seen out his ban.

Some really engaging games so far for Round 3.
It was so great to see the Wales lads play with some heart and enthusiasm. It points to things defintely not being right with the Gatland reigme. For the Irish, I'm stil not entirely sold on Prendergast. He has some great skills, but his capacity to execute them under pressure is a concern at times.
Likewise, I think England were lucky to get over the line and Scotland will rue a few opportunities missed. Their (English) defence was solid, but Scotland really weren't patient on a number of occassions. Also, I don't like being critical of referees, but there were some rather odd (re:I feel wrong) calls that unfortunately had an impact on what was a very tight affair.
The Itoje jumping over the ruck, feet off ground steal for example was fascicle and should have been a Scotish penalty that would have changed that next 20mins of play. Ruck formed, ball not out of ruck. Really poor call. There were a number of other odd calls that I feel the Scots will be questioning.

I rewatched it a few times. I think the judiciary would be hard pressed to say that was more than a rugby incident, but maybe they have some angles we don't that paint a clearer picture. Beirne comes in, Porter I believe it is, is latched. right in over him and looks to roll Berne somewhat when he settles. Duponts leg is in the unfortuate place where they roll. It's not reckless, there is no obvious explicit targeting of Duponts leg, no movements that arn't part of the dynamic actions of the clearout to my eyes.
