#1?

The French Supporters must win for their passion, singing and chants.

All games for the Frogs have been well supported almost as it they were home games for them.

Don't think we will poll too high with efforts like this.
I am watching a little delayed online... great representative of Australian spectatorship shown after the third try...

... a few too many Steinlager's under that belt I think - the green ink is wearing off.

Had lots of fun singing with the Scots against the Poms tonight. Anyone but England.

The Irish supporters get my vote. They were amazing in the game against AUS a few weeks ago. Loud, in numbers and all in green. Huge chants which got the whole stadium going. However the most colourfully dressed supporters would have to go to the Islander nations.

More Argentine madness. Hope they are at Turf Bar this Sunday night, my kind of party for sure!

Delayed "Live" report from a mate currently in The Land of The Darkness:

You don't get to hear the supporters singing over the television, and the French and Tongan fans were superb belting out their anthems last Saturday night. I was lucky enough to have seats that had a good number of Frog supporters close by whilst an even bigger number of Tongans were even closer - went with a couple of Tongan friends (and there were plenty of their mates close by as well), so I got to hear first hand their passionate singing, way more inspiring than the Choral Choir that does the official versions.

Can we have a poll for the worst supporters?

Clearly the All Blacks.

Anyone that throws cans of beer and meat pies at a 65 year old (my dad) are a fucking disgrace.

Similar to a Wallaby supporter last year in Melbourne who punched my brother in the back of the head when a try was scored. Also a disgrace.

They win, if we're talking about worst individual supporters.

Their actions sound like a dog act, but generalising like that is idiotic.

True.
Im getting over this general veiw that NZ is a bad host bullshit. Individual incidents happen at international sporting events, just a few dickheads with no lives trying to ruin it for everyone. Happens every where.
I think there was a thread about this before?
It was closed, thank god.

Sadly every mob has it absolute dickheads that go out of their way to spoil it for others.

Agree that we shouldn't generalise on basis of the actions of individuals, unless there is overwhelming evidence of individual dickheadedness.

Cant believe Wales have so few, for a team that has underperformed for the last 30years the support is huge try geting a ticket for any of the 6N games.

"No, we're the best fans in the world! You're all stupid."

Is that what you boyos meant to say?

Not at all

Just pondering the results of a poll that places argentina and Ireland and Eng**nd at the top of a survey of best rugby supporters in the world

So seems I paraphrased you correctly then?

FWIW my experience with England rugby fans is actually fairly positive. I was in an pub in England when they knocked us out last time and the only guy in a gold and got little or no gloating actually. I voted for Ireland however.

Not at all.

Like I said, the poll may not be represntative or else asks a question that is impossible to answer fairly.

FWIW I've actually had great times in France and 'specially loved Ireland and Scotland trips in 6N. Aussies supporters in Cardiff were great during and after the game (if a little pissed off if they didn't win). Outside of what I see on this forum don't think Aussies in general get the concept of following a team that isn't winning. Same for NZfor whom winnning seems to REALLY matter, that said, the match against wales at last world cup held here was just about the most memorable I've ever been to. I find that Sydney crowds are deathly quiet and likely to get pissed off if you make a sound but the last Welsh game in Homebush when we lost in the last seconds was great fun. Whether Welsh are judged best supporters or not, not for me to say, but disagree with assessment of Orcs. As you say, great afterwards when they win but rarely enjoy the craic if they have lost.

I don't think many people take losing well to be honest, I guess I am measuring this on how sociable people are when supporting their team both for those around them. The whole thread is based around making sweeping generalisations, I think you might be alluding to that. I'm just going on personal experience, and I'm not saying the Welsh are are bad at all, it's hard to beat the atmosphere of a packed out home test in Cardiff (although last time I went there were plenty of empty seats). Just find it funny that you boyos say/imply that this poll must be retarded if *shock horror* people haven't voted for Wales as the best fans in the world.
