The real decision hasn't been made.To be honest, I am just happy a decision has been made. Hopefully a decision on which team happens in the next 24hrs, I'd rather be very disappointed or very happy with the ability to move on from it than this silly constant state of flux we are in. There is no winners with all this speculation
What the fuck does the ARU think having the sun wolves in our conference will do for rugby in this country?So..
We're literally back to the same, arguably most successful format involving more than 12 teams, that we had in 2011-2015.
But this time we drop an Aussie team and a South African team for an Argie team and a Japanese team.
What a clusterfuck.

werent all the various codes pretty much granted money to build a centralised elite performance centre, and this is what the ARU came up with?Meanwhile, in Sydney the ARU continue progress in building the Taj Mahal of sporting office spaces

Following the announcement today, Sunday 9 April 2017, by SANZAAR on the restructure of the Super Rugby Competition, the Plus500 Brumbies will be making a full statement upon the release of information from the Australian Rugby Union [ARU] tomorrow.
Whilst the 15-team format may not be the desired outcome that the franchises within the Australian Conference would have wanted, the Brumbies understand the stance taken by SANZAAR and the ARU.
The Brumbies currently lead the Australian Conference and will aim to continue our focus on our performance on and off the field.
“We would like to thank all of our members, sponsors and supporters for their backing of the Brumbies at this difficult time,” Plus500 Brumbies CEO Michael Thomson commented. “We will release further information following the decision by the ARU tomorrow, Monday 10 April.”
If we end up cutting the Force over the grossly incompetent and ill-thought out Rebels then the ARU has truly failed in every possible respect.
The fucking Melbourne rebels have about 3 supporters, produced fuck all in the way of talent and exist in a market place where it will NEVER FUCKING GROW.FWIW I have heard numerous insiders say that, given the deal the ARU did to 'privatise' the Rebels, it's true that they simply cannot afford to close them, the contingent financial obligations would be too great.
Sounds just like the sort of deal the ARU would do, and the ill-considered mess they'd make of it.
So that's either to assuage any brumby fans fears (by indicating they're safe) or to put pressure on the ARU.Brumbies have released a statement

there was the Ross Turnbull/ken Elphick effort at concord in the 80: Ken Elphick was the chief executive of NSW Rugby Union at the time that Turnbull was chair and when the Concord Oval plan was established. Elphick was found guilty of extracting funds between February 1984 and July 1987 from two related companies - Rugby Ground Administration Pty Ltd and Homan Pty Ltd - through false invoices and secret commissions. He was sentenced to 2 years in jail. Turnbull says the oval history is lengthy and complicated, "save to say I was one of a distinguished committee and the first Rugby World Cup's Sydney games took place at that oval": http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2003/01/03/1041566224415.html
And there was some odd loan last year: http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-union/u...-legend-loan-controversy-20161103-gsgz0w.html
As in completely impossible? They won't get a single person to turn up and watch.SANZAAR and ARU: WTF do the Sunwolves have to do with the constituent members of either body? When they finally get around to setting up some sort of east Asian competition we'll have to invent another Aussie team to make up our 5 team conference. Re-establishing an Oz franchise in either Melbourne or Perth after shafting one just a few years prior's going to be interesting.
