The Development team is a mix of Colts and Grade players (mainly Grade Players).

Woodies had all 4 Grade teams in the Finals, and were runner up in the Club Championship. Surprised that not more were named.

Thought the Rams backs were evenly matched on paper however had concerns that our Forwards may have struggled against the all star all nation NSW Country Eagle pack. Given the score am guessing they held their own - anyone see the game and can offer any feedback? Thanks.

It was a close game
Rams missed two cons and scored an extra try
Kicking was the difference
Only two super players both hookers for rams
This difference also showed as game went on
Injury to hermans after 15 didn't help either
But Hartmann was an ample replacement with Asquith moved to wing

This rams team really looks like a team that will showcase local (kind of anyway) talent that are looking for a contract somewhere
No club bias all rams all trying to play rugby the right way
That being said if we had holloway or they didn't have carter I reckon we would have sneaked it
Asquith showed his pace in the backs and I thought Masson and kapa we're stand outs in the forwards

Betcha the Brumbies Offcuts flog this Rams Twos team...

Was that last weekend's game? If so, and if you knew that, then ;).

If these posts simply mean that people don't know the result, the Griffins beat the Rams by something like 81 - 22.

Or is there another meeting of the sides coming up at some future date?

I was looking for this weeks Rams side on their website. It was not there but the Rams Development side for last weekends fixture against the Griffins was there.

For the purpose of keeping a good archive record on the forums, I posted the team above.

Thanks for the score @Brumby Runner.

AFAIK, there is no intention for the Rams Dev squad to play the Griffins again.

Thought the Rams were unlucky yesterday as they were aginst the Eagles. With a penalty or 2 less plus better goalkicking they could be 2 wins from 3 games - thats probably where they should have been.

I thought Lees had a poor day but as Reg said so did he
I thought our penalties came at times where we were going to score and any we got were mid pitch but either way kicking cost us again
Depends what you want from the NRC
I know it a World Cup year so keeping possible injury call ups fit is important but at the Rams it's about giving young players from our four clubs a chance with areas that we looked short in filled by players from other clubs
We won't match teams full of super players for a full 80 but games like yesterday are what it's about for me non contracted players and young future star players

They really play well yesterday against the Rising and probably deserved the win. However I did think they took their foot off the gas in the last 15, which did cost them.

Bloody good forward pack.

Yeah, they definitely tried to defend the lead in the last 15min which never works. While it was a very entertaining game it was also very frustrating at the end there.
