If you think Qld planned the Horon, press release, genia second thoughts, then I guess we never landed on the moon and America was behind 9/11 cos they needed an excuse to go to war.

As far as plans go, it seems over the top doesnt it?
Well explain to me how the reds havent been fined for what they did. the force were fined $110,000 for a breach of 'recruiting policy' how is what the reds did not?

Well, please lists the facts of each case (facts as in things that are fact) and we can compare them.

Cheika and his management must be loving this, surely though it's in his interest to wait and see if the Tahs continue to lose, with every failure his asking price is only gong to go up for either club.

For the Waratahs maybe. I think most fans don't really want Cheika. He'd be better than nothing. I reckon we'd be better off with Johnson, Louden or Lane. Preferably in that order.

I'm with gaffa. Genia got mind raped to stay at the reds. It was all put together to make him pissed off at the force for " leaking" the news. Big conspiracy!!! It does make sence. That's just IMO. Maybe the illuminati had a hand in this. Lol

Anyway. This is all old news

How about Sias? I thought he played well at 10 in the second half for the cheetahs. Good signs for us there.

Anyone else see this one ?

People seem to be forgetting that it was 'leaked' by a certain party that Genia was close to agreeing to terms with the Force prior to all this unfolding regardless

Western Force have put all player negotiations on hold as the coaching appointment announcement is imminent.

Come on Cheika.

I think Cheika is the best option as far as coaches go for the Force but my club had a training session with Todd Louden tonight - really like his style. He wouldn't be a bad option either.

As far as Pocock's injury goes - that's bad news for the Force for the last games of the season.

Force close to unveiling new coach

Western Force chief executive Vern Reid has revealed that the Super Rugby franchise will reveal their new coach within the next week.

It has already been reported that former Leinster and Stade Francais boss Michael Cheika is the front-runner to replace the departed Richard Graham.

However, former Force assistant John Mulvihill, former Wallabies and Wales assistant Scott Johnson and ex-Ireland coach Eddie O'Sullivan are also rumoured to be in the mix.

"We're trying to get this done as quickly as we can, but we also know we have to make the right decision," said Reid.

"Most of those who we've interviewed already have coaching contracts, so it would be unfair to identify them in this process."

Reid also confirmed that several new players to join the Perth-based franchise next season have been lined up, but any final decision will be left up to the new coach.

"There's a number of players we are negotiating the financial details with, subject to the appointment of the coach and his recommendation either for or against," he said.

Out-of-contract contract David Pocock has been kept closely in the loop about the coaching situation.

Reid says although the star Wallabies openside flanker will not have a formal say on the final decision, his opinion will be expressed through player representative Scott Staniforth, who is part of the selection panel.

"They (Pocock and Nathan Sharpe) are not involved in speaking with the candidates, but they're aware and they're supportive of who we've interviewed," Reid said.

"We've been in very earnest discussions with David for a long time.

"We're aware of his immediate aims and we're very astutely trying to accommodate his wishes. We're certainly doing everything we possibly can to keep him in Perth."

Let the speculation begin. Tom Carter?

Carter would be an excellent strategic signing for the Force. He would energise the playing group on the training paddock, in the gym and on the field.

The Force have experience of rock star signings.
I agree. TC (the player) has really changed my opinion the last couple of years.

We could do a lot worse I suppose, but only if we have creative players around him. We don't want an entire midfield of crash ballers.
