There have been a few threads asking you who your Wallaby side is. Now we're making it official. Name your form Wallaby side after round nine here. We will tally up your votes and see how close we are to the official side or how wrong the selectors get it come June.

*note: Please select a unique group. Out of necessity it's possible to pick some players in more than one position.
If you think we have missed any player we are willing to add them in the next day or so.

Are we picking a team for today, the first test or the last test? It could be very different depending on the stage of the season you are selecting for, if you look at Quade Cooper, he cant be selected for today, wont be picked for the first Test but will probably have a shot at the end of the Test series.

Pick a team for today. Not for any particular test. Just a team on form not reputation.

I have picked a starting 15 but it isn't really complete with reserves. Some picks are dependant on the reserves such as I picked Palmer to start at THP with the priviso that Kepu is on the bench to cover both sides. Otherwise Kepu would start.

So my reserves would be:-
16. Hanson (TPN throwing just way to erratic for tests ATM)
17. Kepu
18. Pyle
19. Mowen/Higgers
20. Genia
21. JOC (James O'Connor)
22. Beale

The last three could raise some eyebrows I am sure but purely on form they don't deserve to start and in fact are lucky to make the bench which they do on potential.

Sorry I can't change the question without deleting the answers given. I'm really sorry I'm learning as I go here. Leave the number 8 blank and I will add Ben Mowen to your list.

Anyone else wishing to add players please leave it in this thread.

I would suggest adding B Barnes as an option at 12, and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) as an option at 13

Despite Barnes' brief appearance at 12 earlier in the year, you couldn't exactly pick either of those players in those positions on form...

Anyways, the team I picked isn't exactly the team I'd be fielding if I was coach, but based only on form...

So, it was very Brumbies heavy...

But if I was actually picking the Wallaby side to take on Wales tomorrow, JOC (James O'Connor) would be lucky to make the 22, and Barnes would definitely not be there...

Right now Lilo is a more complete 10/12...

That's what prompted me to start this Slim. I was wondering if you picked on form would Genia, Beale or JOC (James O'Connor), to name a few, even make the side.

And with JOC (James O'Connor) now ruled out for 6 weeks...

Am I the only one who thinks that 9. White 10. Lealiifano 12. McCabe would be the best thing for the Wallabies right now?

It's just a shame that Tapuai is also gone for 3 months because I would've had him at 12 and McCabe at 13... or vice versa...

I'm going on what i think the form team is. But I will include Tapuai and O'Connor despite injuries. Also McCabe would be an option at 13 if it was up to me. Luke jones should of been an option aswell.

I was picking what would be best team to field in an international, based on form and experience. To that end I wanted to put leilo at 10, but Barnes at 12 as I think they would complement each other in an international

Right now Lilo is a more complete 10/12...

Over the last few years there's been 2 main complainants with our backs: we need a consistent kicker, and we need a 10/12 who isn't a defensive liability. At the moment Lealiifano trumps anything close to him, kicking at 92%, and tackling at 93%, and we don't lose a thing in attack like we would if we chose a more conservative player like Harris/Carter who are supposed specialists in kicking/defense. Lealiifano should be a shoe in for this.

What about Brumbies Prop Daniel Palmer and Waratahs Prop Patrick Ryan.
Two big capable props who scrum well
