^The Tahs are already copying the Reds. Haven't you seen this? ;)

The Tahs marketing must desperate to "borrow" the slogan from the Reds.

So I doubt the current Tahs admin would be able to copy the Reds model even if it was laid out for them.

This has kicked off some serious banter here at work. The Reds fans giving it to the Tahs fans and the Tahs fans claiming it's just a big piss take at the Reds. It's legit too - it's the main banner across the top of the Tahs website.
I have no idea what to think about this! Pretty funny but pretty amazing that they'd do it, piss take or not!

Actually, I thought that Taps was faster than Ant. Ant isn't fast by any stretch, I thought. Taps has a bit of acceleration and a step.

Yeah Ash, I was of the same opinion. He has fairly deceptive speed. Looks a fair deal slower than he actually is but it's his acceleration that is his biggest weapon of the two.

Preparing us for the back office merger perhaps:eek:

It is strange that despite similar speed Ant is considered very good at 13 and Taps slow.

Will be interesting to have Ant lining up against Beale. If they can get up fast on the outside and pressure Beale they should do pretty well with that pairing. Will also limit the use of Folau as AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is not lilely to be providing him much ball. Looking forward to Beale getting planted on his ass and having lots of pressure to not lose the ball.

Wasn't it only a few seasons ago that Tapuai came second only to Rod Davies in pre-season sprints? I am of the opinion it is just his larger posterior that makes him look slow. Or maybe I just look at it for longer.

I think Taps may be the fasted in the squad over 40 metres. I'm probably wrong though.

Tapuai has great acceleration and thats reflected in him coming out on top of the vertical jump test in the Reds pre-season, but his top end speed isn't anything to write home about.

If Tapuai is selected at 13 and Ant at 12 - then February 27th is officially backwards day.

It's not even about speed, he just doesn't move as well laterally and doesn't have the experience defending out there. Plus he is a ball player not a hole runner. The breaks that he does make stem from good footwork which is far more handy in traffic than in open spaces. Anyway, RG knows much more about playing and coaching rugby than I do, so I'm sure there is some method to the madness.

A fully fit Fainga'a walks into the 15 in my view. Sorry Taps but Harris looked good at 12 and Ant takes your 13.

I reckon it's just because it is so late in the week, that they haven't swapped positions. It still wouldn't surprise me to see them swap positions again before game day.

I know the Tahs pride themselves on the set-piece, but the line out might be an area of weakness this weekend.. Potgieter wasn't a renowned jumper at the Bulls and losing Dennis the main jumper from last weekend is only going to place more pressure on.

You're right. We've lost something in the lineout, though you gain from Hoiles linking play and Potgieter's physicality. I always expected the Reds to target the lineout, Simmons has matured into an absolute lineout pest for the throwing team, and that would have happened no matter which option we played. Hoiles is no slouch, particularly at the back, but strengthen one area and you often weaken another.

Stephen Holies will start at #6. I Will laugh if Steve Walsh is referee!

Still great to see him get a start.

I think the Reds will beat the hell out of our boys, and I just want to wish them well in advance!

You are always so spot on Lee! Unrivaled poster on this forum.

Thanks for being such a good sport...
