Horne should be suspended. Same as Digby and a couple of others who I can't remember right now. He won't get 5 weeks though. Probable 2 I'd say.

I was actually being a little serious, I'm convinced the immediate reaction from the victim impacts the severity of the charge. Not saying that is right though..

I assume foley has been working on restarts this year, a very good aspect of the tahs game, again tonight. Gaffney should work on getting barnes not to kick. The bloke is a real flat tyre

Gaffney should be working on getting runners to actually run into the ball, Barnes often has no option but to kick cos everyone around him is flat footed and without depth. Sure there are some stupid kick placement options but it's a far bigger problem than just telling barnes not to kick.

The waratahs back line is terrible. The opening try showed what the players on the field are capable of, multiple lines, changes of angle, offloads, backing up and they did it all at pace and the communication aspect was obvious for all to see. How fir the next 79 minutes this wasn't there at all is mind blowing. Forget the bonus point at the end, they should have had it by half time and be pushing for 50 by full time.

We had some heavy hitters on the bench in timani and rocky and I never saw one of them hit the ball at pace. And dear Foley, why the f didn't pretourious come on, mckibbon served a purpose then he got tired, lazy and clumsy, yet persisted with him fir about 30 minutes longer than needed.

Hope there is a big step up next week, the Tahs really need to pull a game out if there arses.

Just want to throw it out there, but the reds need more media training, digby and quade jumping on twitter to joke about the suspensions (even though this time they were quite tame) would do nothing but serve to undermine any issues that would come from the reds wanting to question it through appropriate channels.

O'Connor can be a victim of trying too hard, but not the case tonight. Kurtley Beale looked good at 10 towards the end and the Rebls could do worse than stick him in there for either a full game or a full 2nd half against tiring oppositio.

I maintain that with the exception of the Force game, the Rebels have looked their best all year with KB (Kurtley Beale) as first receiver. His gameplay has changed from when he played 10 at the Tahs, he is no longer trying to do it all himself but instead set up people around him. Mitchell's try was a perfect example of that.

The Crusaders will tear them a new one if they are that lacklustre with ball. The Tahs can compete up front, but they just cannot / will not use the ball intelligently enough to capitalise on any parity. They will have to sharpen up the breakdown work too - few runners a bit one-out and they were lucky at times to not get turned over more.
As for the kicking / chasing / gifting possession to the opposition paradigm that has been diamond-etched into their thick skulls...there are no words.

The game was like a typical Tahs season...start out in a blaze of glory and then ends with a bit of a whimper. The opening try shows what the Tahs can do. Frustrating that it only happens in patches, if at all, and hard to fathom why Pretorious was subbed in so late in the match.

Definitely need to move it up a few notches in the coming weeks.

Good effort by the Rebels but from what I saw the Tahs were always in control. Have to watch a full replay before making further comment.

Yeah spot on wj, the first try was beatifically constructed but we didn't see anything like it for the rest of the game. If Barnes is kicking well Pretorius should go back to starting, he adds much more spark to the backline with his running game.

Paddy needs to work on his discipline when he comes on but the rest of his game is good.

Horne will get off because Beale didn't act like a pussy on the ground.
I doubt this very much. It was extremely reckless and should have earned a red card. He should get at least two weeks and that only because he has a good record IIRR, unlike Digby who had some form.

It is not like him to do such stuff and one hopes that he will learn from it.

It will be a pity when he is suspended because of the big games coming up and because he was starting to get a bit of form in the last two games after a slow start to the season.

Vuna looks like a more impressive runner at the ground than on TV; like a panther. A pity he is not a better footie player in other areas.

It was good to see Rocky Horror playing again and he did OK.

B. Foley had a scan on his shoulder tonight but no reports about it yet. Coach Foley said after the game that BKH, Pakalani and Trist would all come into the mix if needs be next week.

Delve said he he was pleased that the Rebels played better than last week and that he rated the Tahs a better team than the Brumbies, though I don't think there's a lot of evidence myself.

With Horne likely gone, is Paka fit to coe back yet meaning Tommy Kingston can move into 13 and get a bit more ball?

They couldn't put pretorius on because he was the only back on the bench after hangers went on for foley at half time. If they put him on earlier and there was an injury in the backs they'd have to shuffle a forward out there.

Pakalani and BKH have been in excellent form for Southern Districts, although one would have to take the opposition into account but they really standout at that level.

If B. Foley is crocked Coach Foley mentioned that he would consider AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) at fullback. That would mean that Pakalani or BKH would play on his wing.

If only Horne is out I imagine that AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) would switch to 13 and the other two be considered for his wing spot. I don't think they will play Kingston there at this stage of his career against the Crusaders but you never know.

If both B.Foley and Horne are out, anything could happen including Halangahu playing fullback - or 10, and have several changes as the Rubik cube is twisted.

Watch this space.

At what stage do you see Kingston moving in. Negas been one of our strongest runners so far thus year and I would live him at 13 in attack, I don't have a great read on him in defense, do you think he is up to it or is thus the reason he isn't ready?

Paddy needs to work on his discipline when he comes on but the rest of his game is good.

I thought he was dudded when he was penalised once for fetching the ball. I said "Well done Paddy" at the ground because I thought it was righteous and bugger me if he wasn't pinged. Have to have another look at it though.

Have no clue why JOC (James O'Connor) got pinged when he was hurt either.

Negas? Is that his nickname?

He hasn't played a lot at 13 as a senior player as he was right into the Tahs last year after one game of 1st Grade - and that was on the wing, IIRR. He played outside centre for Sydney Uni after the Super season and the IRB U/20 tournament, but there is a lot of difference between playing there defensively in Grade last year than against the Crusaders next week.

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) would be the better bet defensively, though come to think of it: he didn't exactly cover himself in glory when he came in to tackle Kurtley last night, when he was already covered by Horne - and Davidson scored.

What a time to lose probably Horne & Foley

I would play

15 AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
14 Trist
13 Kingston
12 Carter
11 Pakalani
10 Barnes

(a bit to many "uni" but ...........)

and try to hold on vs the Crusaders

I really, really, hate that 12 man rolling maul that the Waratahs fall back on when all else fails. Pathetic and pusillanimous.

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) has more experience at 13. Maybe they will put Barnes at 15 and bring in Hangers at 10 (god forbid). Trist to wing but he can do fullback too.
I was sitting next to Tahs bench and was happy to see how much involvement Rocky had in encouraging and advising the other players. Hopefully he can bring that onto the field next week against a really tough opponent.
