I really don't know what all the Tahs fans are crowing about.
To me it was a mediocre performance against a team that could lose to a walla rugby outfit.
I saw this article this morning and it summed it up nicely - http://www.15manrugby.com/

Now that's what I call a really authoritative source. Still it's good to see that they cater for grown-up rugby as well

Yep- It's great to be a Queenslander!

I hate to agree wih WJ but you have to give credit where it's due - and the Tahs tore the Lions a new one. Good to see them counter and not kick the ball away. It's hard to judge against a poor opposition but I hope the Tahs can continue this way into the future. It is great to see Barnes not look to kick as he first option and him and the guys outside of him look much better for it.

Also love seeing Mitchell and Turner with some ball in space.

As mentioned above the Kiwis will be the next litmus test for the Tahs.

Only real question from that game is still Anesi.

I think most Tah fans on this forum have been pretty level headed. We can all see the deficiencies in the selections and execution, but the improvements in the area of tactics were pretty significant. We all hope this is the beginning of an upward spiral.

I actually think that most Tahs fans have been too negative about their teams performances, even when they were winning. Compare this to Brumbies fans, who's team was arguably poorer while still winning (particularly considering some of their players). Brumbies fans never really got down on their team like the Tahs fans did.

Scotty - I take your point. Both teams have good line ups that aren't really firing atm but they're still scraping through with wins. They're in a very similar position and head to head Brumbies fans have every right to expect more from their team this season.

I feel the Tahs are being mismanaged (gameplan / selections) which is causing the poor performance whereas looking at the Brumbies from afar, they appear to be well managed and playing to their expected potential for this stage of the season.

sorry the brumbies are playing exactly how there being managed to play? so scraping through home wins in patchy form is just what andy friend wants from them?

they lack combinations and urgency at times. i dont think he has the right balance on the field at all. he has class players but not a class team at this stage in my opinion.

Langthorne,

Hope is something we Tah fans have in spades! We've come second twice, and each time we went into the final with the wrong gameplan and hope.

This year we have played a good tactical plan for two games - Bulls and Lions, with differing results but each time we looked to have real potential to win. The Reds game we played with half-right strategy but with mainly poor execution.

I want to see another four weeks of good strategy and good execution (Force, Blues, Cheetahs and Brumbies) before I am sure we have turned the corner.

But I'm glad I'm a Tah supporter right now, Brumby supporters must be feeling pretty sick watching their team under-perform week after week.

im going to say the last grand final we were in we had the correct game plan and were exectuing it with conviction and had a real chance to win the game, problem was, when kurtley got injured we had no plan b to speak of and never looked like winning it.

Interesting to note that while 73 points is also what the Chiefs put on the Lions, the Tahs actually added a defensive game to make it a thrashing.
