Tahs we’re looking good at half time, now they look like The Tasmanian side with a bout of coronavirus

The Tahs team is missing the most important thing in today’s game and that winning the contact zone. Just about everyone of their front 5 loses the contact battle with and without the ball. Short isn’t good enough and they need a big body at 13 or 12.

Disagree re: Short. For first start I think he wasn't too bad. Agree regarding a hard running 12/13. Hunt/Newsome lack the punch needed. Moeroa is the hope to solve that issue.

Positives: Harrison, Bell, Hooper all playing well. Some of the interplay/offloads between the team has been good. Scrum looked pretty good. LO generally functioning well.

Negatives: The forwards well outplayed. The work at the breakdown not good enough. So many counter rucks. So many times the cleanout failing with resulting turnovers. The defence in general not good enough. Too many soft tries. Just sloppy. Errors all over the place.

Uh huh

I'm so glad the Waratahs have shown faith in Harrison. He looks like he could be our next world class ten, whereas Mack Mason has always looked to me like he could be the next Tim Donnelly.

Imagine what we'd be like if we DIDN'T have the pick of the players from Australia's biggest rugby nursery.

He looks the real deal. Wallaby in waiting without doubt

His very good, there's a few around his ages give him a run for the 10 Jersey. Lolesio for the Brumbies is so calm and he runs better with great offloads and a great passing game, but his team around him is much better.

Then you got Lucas and then you also got Pasitoa, who while not being on fire, his 18 and come straight out of school and doesnt look out of place.. first moment of todays game was to hold up a try.

Excited... Unlucky tah's I dont think you are as bad as the score suggests.

Harrison, Bell, Hooper and Ramm all had pretty good games, McDonald also looked alright in his few minutes.

But the tight five as a whole look pissweak.
Biggest offenders are the row, both looked completely ineffectual.

Bring Tafa straight in next week, can't do any worse.

Couple of thoughts.
Although I thought the Chiefs were pretty average in first half, I tend to think a team has a good coach when the team improved
s that much after having a talk at oranges,
Chiefs work rate was brilliant in second 40, player real well but a lot was on the back of bloody hard work(counter ruck etc) and great support play ,which is great workrate anyway.
I thought Harrison looks like he maybe ok .

Can I add Crudens chat with Clarke and Kearnsie at end of game was bloody good. Also please he said he spoke to Harrison and told him he going good!!

Agree re: Ramm. Playing well and I appreciated his boot. Good future prospect.

Disagree about McDonald. I know he can play better, I don't think he was particularly good in this game. Some of his passing was really not great. To be fair to him and Short though they really didn't get clean ball at times.

Also agree about Tafa. McCauley has improved but he's still not there yet for me. I think Tafa may be worth a shot. Holloway also just keeps disappointing. I really want him to come good but he just doesn't seem to be getting there.

Agree with the above comments.

Cruden was very classy.

He was being modest as well. He'd have to be in the frame for that AB 10 jersey. There's no one else with a lock on it at present. Richie M played well today but I think Cruden played better and exercised more control

Shout-out to Harrison though. Played with more ticker than most of the forwards.
