If they hold out. Thats 2 weeks in a row leaving the opposition try-less. It's bittersweet though because it's Oz team V Oz team. Can't wait till this D gets stuck in to some Saffa + Kiwi outfits

All done - 30-6
Not too much for the Reds to take away from that - need to rethink the game plan after 2 weeks where it has not really done anything like what they want.
Reds / Brumbies will be interesting. Who will improve the most to get up?

The Waratahs increased physicality is scary to watch. I actually worry that they can't sustain that intensity throughout the season, as players will definitely start going down. TPN, Douglas, Mumm, Mowen were all HUGE. The Reds pack was simply monstered, there is no other word for it.

That was easily the best defensive display I have ever seen from an Australian provincial side. This Tahs pack is scary, and sent out a huge warning tonight. The Reds had no chance.

Surely Rob Horne would be close to MoM.

Dreadful tactical decision with that Reds pack selection. Only a fool would think a pilferer is unnecessary. Robinson added a great deal when he came on.

Is Kearns in love with Fitzpatrick? He was on foe 5 secs and the idiot was gushing about him.

Ref again overly officious. Regs are or continuing to make union unpalatable.

Yep...I'm thinking more and more that the Reds have the 2nd-yr-blues.

Everyone knows what Genia and Cooper will bring to the game. If you cut Cooper's space then you got a more than decent chance of shutting the whole team down it seems. Cooper's kicking was pretty average and I don't think he beat anyone one-on-one tonight....not in any meaningful exchange anyways.

They'll need to change their game-plan BIG-TIME I reckon.

There was a good deal made about the Reds big pack to counter the Tahs, they were found wanting in all aspects. Opposition teams will be wondering just how to break the defence as it is quite frankly immense.

Can the Reds fans please stop talking about the ref please. Have a shower, cool off, watch the match again if you can bear it and see that the decisions went both ways. Let's not be fickle

Rob Horne > AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
TPN > Moore
Mowen > Higginbotham
Douglas > Simmons

On the balances of performance in the first two round I would say yes.

Horne has shown why he must be selected as 13 for the Wallabies. He has in two weeks outclassed an ageing Mortlock and Chambers. While AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) has been his usual solid self he has not had anywhere near the impact Horne has shown.

Moore and TPN are the perfect combo, either starting. TPN is a wrecking ball. I don't think there has been anybody tackling as damaging as him since Jerry Collins retired from test match Rugby.

Yep. Was thinking about that just now. They'll take the vintage Saffa approach - aerial ping pong, penalties from 50 out and kicks to the corner.

IMO it is the Mooney factor has worn off. The REds are trying to play the game plan Link favoured at the Tahs without the pack or the tactical kicker. Link would have been better off looking at how the Reds managed to go forward with a defeated pack two years ago and enhance that with a pack that got the backs parity.
