Already got potentially small locks, can't have gamble as a 6 with another guy at 7.

likely 6. leota 8. gleeson 7. Gamble with new guy as the backup
At super level it's fine if you run Leota (or another jumping backrow) at 6 or 8, and I wouldn't be amazed to see it given most of the tahs backrowers don't have the motor to go 80, where as it looks like Adamson might.

man Gamble went from talk of oz 7 to not making Tahs 7 ... Leota 6 , Gamble 7 and Gleeson 8... come on cant be anything else.
I don't think Gamble was ever as close as he was made out to be. He's a very solid player, particularly at super level, but none of his attributes are 'stand out' enough to suggest he'd make it as a test 7, particularly in Australia where the field is so congested. Really doesn't help that part of his success in super is as a 'bigger' 7, but he's doesn;t seem to be big enough (or dynamic enough) to bring that size to bear in top flight test rugby, so it just makes him a slower 7. He's very much the 3rd coming of Beau Robinson (Jordy Reid was the 2nd coming).
