Waratahs 2025

That whole area of Sydney IS a fucken sandlot. Nice for the golf course next door, shit to try to grow and keep decent grass on a rugby pitch.

We have the same ground management company look after the #fieldofdreams and it's just how they let it run into summer. Winter grass dies off, less load on the pitch in off season.

Daceyville is basically a swamp tho

Can vouch for that

This is me telling the guys that the referee was calling the game off.

This is the end of the game before…

Not only did the tahs need the rebels list to put together a decent squad, they needed their Japanese partner to get off season rugby in. Can't wait for them to release their new 2025 jersey, now in a much darker blue with pink accents to represent the waratah.

The Reds will be playing the Wild Knights in November. How does this differ?

It's mostly a joke about the fact that the tahs having been slow off the mark in finding a Japanese partner club to play against in the off season have finally picked one up in Kubota, who just happened to be the rebels partner previously, the same way they've filled their squad with rebels players.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing that they're doing it now - it's about time they caught up to the rest and booked these games in, it's more just that the tahs should be mocked relentlessly and at every opportunity, but especially when they make it easy.

Edit: unfortunately reality is not as funny as I'd like - I confused the Kubota Spears with the Kintetsu Liners, who were the Rebels partner

I completely missed that. But to be fair I've been up since 4am and operating in about 3 hours sleep so things are not exactly registering at the moment.

That said, the Tahs actually were among the first to start playing Japanese teams. They actually would play games during the June Test window.

Watching Perese for the Tigers, he’s got such good power and a strength Aus doesn’t have. Would love him to find that missing something over in the UK and become the centre that we could rely on.

Yep. I think he could offer more punch in the backline than Kerevi at this stage of their careers.

At least one good thing about the Tahs not having a shit ton of Wallabies means they can get some real minutes into guys who might be named in round 1 and not just playing clubbies who won't be seen.

Jeez Tahs - 4 1/2 weeks notice... Would have been good if you (like the Reds have) gave us notice to get over there for a few days. Bit hard now.

Why change jersey yet again?

Either or... If both on the field I think they just have a role and number doesn't matter too much. Usefull to have a guy like FLW (Fergus Lee-Warner) on the bench to cover a lot. I'm a fan of Sinclair starting and being the steady head in the middle and let Amatosero keep developing and being the big body with hopefully Bell and Tupou both on the field.
