I'm with cyclo. How 'bout an original idea: jumpers stay the same for, about, 10 years?

I thought that was a photoshop mock-up!! Won't be on the Xmas list. o_O
The Brumbies one is not bad, but I have to agree that yet another dark-blue top is not exactly what the comp needs. The traditional Brumbies colours were just fine, and distinct.
And before someone explains yet again why they do these "new" jerseys, I know. Doesn't mean we all have to like these offerings.

Yeah, I think the Brumbies' jersey isn't necessarily a bad design on its own, but for a Brumbies' jersey in a competition saturated in blue jerseys - not great, particularly after the hype around 'breaking with tradition' and then coming up with nothing more than fifty shades of blue.

Nah, it looks like a polo shirt.....

Yeah, but Canterbury make 2 kind of jersey. One made in polyester and other made in cotton, for old school supporters.

That could be the old school jersey. That's my point

Missing a sponsor on the front though.........

It looks like supporter wear as it was for a Canterbury catalogue shoot............

I doubt they'd let a player roam around in a cotton prototype of a new jersey they're not unveiling until February................

Or maybe they would and I'm wrong?

I thought the Waratahs had signed that air conditioner company as their main sponsor

That's my point. Look at the logo on the right sleeve, looks like the Super Rugby logo, a white square.

They still don't have the logo of the new Japanese sponsor, for that reason they are going to sell a jersey with the NSW map on the front

They're also replacing playing shorts with jeggings for the 2016 season.

Here's some not necessarily rugby-related Waratahs news.

Back during the World Cup, Dave Dennis regularly appeared on the Fox Rugby Podcast, the one with Sean Maloney. About a third of the time they talked about anything but rugby, which was actually kind of fun -- these people have lives outside of the game.

On one episode Dennis mentioned he was making sweet potato gnocchi that night, and Maloney and the other guy (Sam Worthington?) grilled him mercilessly about it.

I was intrigued. I do all the cooking at our place (no one steps in my kitchen when I'm at work except my beagles), and my wife is a trainer and is always looking for healthy meals. So I tweeted Dennis a few weeks back, and he sent me the recipe.

Just made it tonight, and wow. Very, very tasty. My wife actually said she was proud of me -- and I do all the cooking anyway, so that's really out of the ordinary. So we have a new staple on our menu, and I have Waratahs captain Dave Dennis to thank for that.

If anyone is interested, the recipe is here. This is hand-made gnocchi, so it's a bit intensive -- you'll need to set aside a small chunk of time to do it right. I'd suggest making the dough well before you need to roll it out, separating it into a few dough balls (six or eight), and let them chill covered in the refrigerator for a while, just to let the dough rest and firm up a bit.

I finished my gnocchi like they suggest in the recipe, with a quick fry in a little olive oil in a pan, but then I popped them on a tray and dropped them under a broiler for a minute or two, just to crisp them a bit. They really didn't need sauce; just a dab of butter, a pinch of sage, a dash of black pepper, and if you like maybe a bit of oregano and cayenne, and stir until the little fellas are coated.

Then just sit back and let everyone say how proud they are of you.

You obviously haven't followed my posts over the years, what I do for a living is common knowledge, and it isn't counting beans. That's our resident Scottish cricket expert's bailiwick.

Zac Guildford lost his charity boxing match against NZ's Batchelor Art Green.

Well, I'm kinda hoping he's been brought on board for his rugby skills, not his boxing or socialising!
That's a great still-shot, by the way - you can see the snot that has just been bashed out of him!
