I'm surprised not to see any tin foil hat theories about why Izzy was barred from the game. They may yet come. On the surface I 100% agree that player welfare overrides everything else and it appears this was the driver behind the decision.

Will be a good game to watch, right after the Rebels triumph over in nou zueland.

I agree on the player welfare part. Players health first.

But what is more concerning is that the CMO has overruled the Tahs Medic & the ENT they'd engaged because of another ENT. Well that's how I interpret it. A very odd situation.

Now what was that ARU payment made up front for the Tahs to even get Israel in the first place? Grow up people.......this level of support comes with strings attached!

ALL Australian Super XV players are paid by the ARU.

The ARU have an investment in Israel and they want to make sure that he's being managed for the long term.

That would make sense resting Palu which the Tahs have done. Taking Folau out of a game where he hasn't played for 2 weeks isn't a management issue. They think he's a significant risk of major injury if he plays but Folau and the Tahs don't which is odd.

It's bizarre that Folau followed all the protocols for getting through the contact session and then visit a specialist in Perth and be given the all clear only for the ARU to overrule that based on a couple of phone calls.

It would seem the ARU are being precautionary to the extreme which isn't a great look seeing as they've gone against their own protocols and made a decision without talking to the player or the club first.

So hands let us down again this week. A couple of weeks before it was the lineout. These guys get paid to do nothing but rugby week in, week out, and they still can't fucking get it together on the field. Something like 27 turnovers?

WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK?!!

Seriously reconsidering whether I drag the family to the Bulls game next weekend. The Force got 14K to NIB tonight and the Tahs will be lucky to get that at Allianz for the rest of the season.

I think a LOT of people who haven't yet bought their tickets (and its not like they're a hot item) will be seriously reconsidering time better spent on an Easter long weekend.

Judging by how much you post here, you must consider yourself a passionate Tahs supporter. If you are not likely to show up, because the Tahs dropped some pill, is there any hope that the club will get back on it's feet? Or will the Force having bigger crowds than the flower boys become a constant in the future?

Probably not. But NSW Rugby set themselves on this path when they decided that favours for their mates were a higher priority than winning a title.

The momentum that NSW Rugby would have hoped to build for the next home game is probably fucked now. Its Easter, the weather for the next week looks shit (though it forecasts sunny for Fri/Sat), and the fringe fans will be asking questions.

Still, in the bright light of day, we're still in the Top 6 this week, and we're just going to need to work extra hard up until the bye to get some bonus points happening.

Bulls H
Blues A
Canes H

No reason we can't win all three of these - if the ARU keeps itself the fuck out of the way - and the team gets a few punishing sessions to sort their fucking brains out.

The real worry seems to me to be that last night's effort was a throw back to early last season: once plan A was nullified there was nothing else except KB (Kurtley Beale) running to the line and throw last minute passes of one variety or another.
The Force ran a very disciplined and less spectacular version of the Brumbies rush defence that troubled the Tahs.

I'm not sure.
To my eye,the Force were just hanging in all night.
It seemed just a matter of when the Tahs would set the scoreboard rolling.
The intercept try was a game changer.not only was it a 14 point result,it was a momentum shifter.
But when push came to shove, the Tahs were a bit petulant.
If you can't beat a side that offers nothing in attack, then you don't deserve to win.

The way I look at it was that the tahs backline was a last minute patched together one so they lost a lot of the patterns that would have been second nature.
When do we get Betham, Alofa, Palu etc back?
