What are the chances of us seeing AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)-Horne centre pairing at the tahs next year? I know AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is being considered a fullback mostly but anyone who read my first ever post will know what a hard-on I have to see this in action. likelihood probably minimal barring injury to Tom Carter (and rightly so, TC deserves his spot) but christ I think they offer the correct blend of skill sets and physical attributes to build a highly effective combination.

It's a nice thought but injuries may make a mockery of it. I'm not just talking about the midfield. Injuries in the back 3 will see players move around like the faces on a Rubik cube.

Horne showed in the RWC, in the first half against the USA, that he has not lost the skill at 12 that he demonstrated for NSW Schools. If Carter is injured I'd like to see Horne and Kingston paired up in the midfield. I think that young Tom has a big future and I'd rather see him get a go there, than see AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) recycled.

He is young but he has an old head on his shoulders.

Has anyone heard any more on how Will Caldwell is going. Has he retired due to illness or is he still trying to get back?

It will be interesting to see how Kingston goes in 2012. How big is he and does he have any pace?

Kingston is pretty slight (only 90kg for 190cm according to his profile) but has pace to burn.

Possibly quicker than Lachie Turner.

Wow, he'd have to be the quickest at the Tah's then wouldn't he? With that height he might end up being a pretty big footy player.

when did 90kgs become "slight"

For a professional rugby player who is 190cm tall, it is on the lean side.

From the Tahs profiles, Pakalina is 183cm and 88kg, Turner is 189cm and 96kg, and Mitchell 182cm and 95kg.

Hopefully with a full offseason in the gym, he'll be 4 or 5kg heavier by the time the season starts.

Kingston is quick but I doubt if he is a sprinter and he will slow down naturally as he bulks up.

More impressive than his foot speed is his brain speed - very much like Horne in that respect. Let's see though; I may be talking him up too much.

I actually think it's pretty handy having kingston in the Tahs, he's a handy back up for our centres and has lots of potential. Love to see him have a breakthrough year.

Very true, rugger. However What I do in fact like about the clip, is that he was committed and he had good technique. He just wasn't powerful enough, but that will come. You can't teach the other stuff though.

Sorry ha ha I was a bit vague, Im really tired.

I was referring to the heart he showed to set himself and have a go at tackling properly. Uncommitted defenders go high or jump on peoples backs, real defenders go low and are always committed.
I dunno if i'm right or not, but I often reckon going low is more about attitude than technique. I mean all of these blokes know how to make a tackle, they have played the game for a while, they understand the bio-mechanics. But at the end of the day, it hurts more, its riskier putting your head in those positions, and its only the blokes with a bit of ticker than persist with it.
