I agree with you Braveheart about having to take risks with positions when squads are limited. Openside flanker, hell any of the forwards, is not where I would be taking that risk.
Huh? Think you've got it wrong there big unit
If Phipps is picked, its because Link is considering the value of Phipps and Foley playing halves for the Tahs the whole year. If White started then I think individually he would do a better job, particularly if To'omua and Foley played interchange first receiver (as they probably will), but its a pretty short week in Wallaby camp and maybe Link wants to see if Phipps and Foley can do the business, or if he has to shuffle things.
Better to find out in game 1 than if a series is on the line in game 3.
Not to re-hash old history, but McCalman and how he was instructed to play is not what lost us the match against Ireland. It was getting dismantled at the scrum, held up in every second tackle, and kicking in general play like a pack of nine-year old numpties.
seems to reflect the relative strengths of the franchisesNice..10 X Tahs, 7 x Brums, 3 x Reds, 3 X Force, 0 X Rebels
AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) has more than 30 test caps more than the rest fo the starting backline combined.
Jones and Horne could consider themselves unlucky. I'm all for seeing how Carter and Jones handle the higher level, one could presume Link will give Luke a run later in the series.
Horne/McCabe, much of a muchness with Horne grabbing his more extensive opportunities this year. Surely Rob's going to get his chance in gold this series to see who's the better player.
McKenzie is gonna need to pull his head in if he wants to be around for rwc2015.. he has a worse WL ration than Deans at international level
