What was Link's quote? I know he said Godwin was not considered due to injury.

He was quite thorough in mentioning all not considered due to injury, probably to let it be known they were at least in the hunt.

I think it was on the rugby club he said he rang him when the squad was announced and for the second time wasn't able to pick him due to injury.

Good to see that the Wallabies merchandising departments have taken a lead from the Reds experiment..

Sorry, but that is crap.

If his injury was so serious he couldn't have logged a couple of hundred practice kicks a week with the kicking coach to adjust what is a fucking horrible and obvious hook, then he shouldn't have been kicking the first place.

It may have been crap that they were comments from his coach. I would have thought that a fair bit of time goes into working on goal kicking technique. Lilo has possibly been concentrating on other parts of his game. Lilo is unquestionably a very good kicker that is a bit off at the moment.

He hasn't forgotten how to kick overnight. He just needs to hit the reset button.

Given that we are likely to play some wet weather rugby at the RWC i do think we probably need a specialist sharp-shooter in the squad. The only real options are Harris and Lilo. I rate Lilo on form.

Lilo on form is great. That form was very brief. Based on what we've seen since last year I'd have Harris. Not as talented but a stronger runner and more robust defender who can make a good pilfer too.

he actually tried to stay on the field.

I was confident he'd be ok. Hate seeing Hammy injuries tho. they can really linger
That was only because the play was about to start and it was a Tahs feed and he might have needed to defend. As soon as the scrum needed to be reset, the doctor got him to sit down and then the backline passed the word that a replacement was needed and they took him off.

Get a tear, some pain, and some muscle spasm and you'd be lucky to stand up!
Good news that it is not too serious.
Don't they reckon with some injuries it is better if you feel more pain because it means everything is still connected? In serious injury situations the body cranks out the endorphins to block the pain etc

Lilo won't be in the 23. Sure, he could kick at 90% last year. but this year its been at 50-60%. Also, who would he replace? Granted that there are no injuries he isn't going to take a spot, based on his kicking, over beale, foley or To'omua. To add to that QC (Quade Cooper), who Link would hold in higher value than Lilo, will be on the eoyt. It's unfortunate for the man but if you're kicking like shit and your general play is stifling the back line you are not going to make the team. replicate 2012 however and thats a different story

Depends on the injury, I think.

I think with knees, for example, the worse it is the less pain you feel. I know a guy whose knee cap was basically around the wrong side and he felt no pain, to the extent he tried to stand up before he knew how bad it was.

One thing though is when you do something really bad your body reacts, and you just feel right sick. When my lungs went I felt like I was going to throw up. I know someone who dislocated their shoulder and they got the same reaction, as if the body knows something is royally fucked.

Lilo won't come close unless there's injuries. I agree with someone who said earlier that if the team was picked now, he probably wouldn't make it he's been in that average form and his kicking is that bad.

Give Lilo the NRC then a good off season.

He is there due to prior form, like a few others each year (I would put Horwill in the same criteria, although he shows better form than Lilo)

Harris? Meh, sorry no, just no. Inman or English would be next in line

As I said, that form was very brief. Based on what we have seen since last year I'd have Harris. Refer to the reasons above.

As neither Inman nor English are a goal kicking inside centre. I'd doubt that. There's a reason why Harris at 26 years of age has 10 caps and Mitch Inman at 25 has none.

I'd also highly doubt that English would be included over Harris or vice versa. Mainly because one plays 12, 15 and 10 and the other plays 13 and wing.
