Settle on the CFS rant lads christ. For those who haven't been paying attention, his hamstrings haven't been an issue for > 12 months now. He was playing well for the reds before unfortunately dislocating his shoulder stretching out attempting to save a try. A traumatic season ender, could happen to anybody.

I think his hammies might have been a bit of an issue. For whatever reason, he has hardly stretched out and showed the pace / swerve and dynamism that we saw a couple of seasons ago, and has seemed the be running within himself a bit. I'm not the only one who has stated this. I've seen a few players with recurrent hamstring issues who have stated that they take a while to get the confidence to really stride out again. That's the lingering problem after the muscles have healed.
The shoulder was just bad bloody luck.
I hope he gets the confidence back - very exciting player.

He probably needs to see the same type of guy Elsom and Horne had to see, they both has muscle and skeletal issues that needed remedial work

Jones had a bit of a mare last night. Offloaded when he should have crashed it in himself. Missed a lineout (or wasn't lifted) and looked a little hesitant. Over thinking it, but he will have a look at the video and be better next week.

yes i agree he missed a couple of tackles, looked bit overawed and sluggish, should have run himself instead of passing to cowan. the good thing was he made two telling tackles towards the end. he will hopefully be better for the run. suspect skelton will however replace him next week.

Kuridrani looked similar coming off the bench last year, but rightfully, Link never read too much into it.

Having now watched the replay Jones did good. Got to a lot of rucks and generally did the grunt work expected. A couple of carries and as I said two really telling tackles at the end.

Heavy days north of the border.

Wallabies take note.

Don't worry, many Mexicans (including this one) feel your pain. QLD effectively get two home games next year, I'll be at the 'G to shout them home. Don't worry, there will be bloody in three weeks, and next year when the series is alive again.

After the june test matches and the rebels vs reds match, IMHO Horwill has cemented himself in the wallaby 23. Not necessarily starting but definitely the match day team

I think his line out ability would put him over the line. Covers both lock roles and is hitting form at the right time

No he hasn't.. He was excellent tonight but one match means little.

it does when you add that one match to his good form in the june test series. i think he clearly the favourite to start on the bench against the all blacks. starting to get a bit of a roll on too. the game against the tahs will be the big test

He hardly had good form in the Tests, he was adequate at best. Good form is when he strings together tonight's game again and again like he did in 2011.

Well i'm not tipping Skelton to be starting against NZ. But he clearly has a point of difference in his impact that no other lock does. I expect him to get most of his caps off the bench.

Nah you got to factor in his previous record and experience into the equation. Coming into the RC and the first Bled, this is the bloke we need hitting his straps more so than a couple of green locks with only one test under their belt.

Tonight was classic Kev I thought. That mixture of aggression and agility he plays with.

His previous record is 2013 Tests which were frankly poor especially his last Bledisloe. Tonight was vintage 2011 but let's if he maintains it for the next 2 matches before we claim he's back to his best.
