Who is the Australia A coach or does Deans fill that role too?

If not I would love to see Link coach the second string team.

yep.

Who are you preferred candidates?

Not too many which kind of proves my point from my first repost. I'd have Chisolm over Van Humphries or Douglas. McCabe over Turner. Chapman has been very good IMO with limited chances.
Chisolm has been awful this year - not close to 2009 form. Pity. If he improves markedly in the next 3 rounds, maybe.
McCabe will have his time. At this stage, he is still green, and Turner has done little wrong, so I suspect would shade him in the Wallaby reckoning. Would like to see McCabe get some Aus A / midweek time this year.
With the front row stocks being eroded a bit at the moment, players like Baxter will be in the squad for sure I would think. But others should be starting.

I think Deans is still the man for Oz. Link has to be the best Aussie coach going around with Cheika taking second place.

Spook,

Isn't Noddy talking about Brumbies coach?

FP, please clarify. Horne is in your squad but not in your test or baa baa selections. Correct?

I like your squad fatprop, but...No Houston??? :)

Also surprised with Cross being there, but I guess it all depends on where AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is going to play.

yeah, he will be injured :crybaby, I guess he (or Inman) could take JOC (James O'Connor)'s place on the bench for the Baas

Houston still needs a workrate and less errors IMHO, if the decision is to stick Elsom at 8 then we don't need him.

Cross? He has been pretty good for the Force and is adequate at 13 so he gives bench flexibility

Thanks. I had guessed that was your reasoning :'(

cross has been dreadful, he is very slow laterally in defense and offers nothing in attack.

Other than that I think your squad Fatprop looks pretty much on the money.

Cross has been excellent of late, most interestingly at 12!

Yeah and we have no real experience at 13, both AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) & Digby have had very little experience @ 13 even at S14 level

Like your sides FP except you've got Douglas starting and on the bench in the Baa Baas side. Did you mean Dennis at 6? I would go with that. And I agree with Justin Turner getting a run at halfback in the Baa Baas side. He looks like a great prospect. Palmer might put his hand up over the next few weeks as well.

Quite good FP, but why have some players on the bench for both? Surely, if they are in there they should get some start time in a baa-baas match rather than riding the pine. I'm thinking Douglas, JOC (James O'Connor), Burgess in particular.

yep, typo and amended

cyclo

My assumption was the Wallaby side would be training with their reserves and the Baa Baa would need some time to train as a team as well.

Fair point FP, I hadn't thought of it that way. Just seems a waste to have these guys there and they get crumbs.

Well all the good ones are tied up. Would liked to have seen Cheika. Meehan is also rated. Brian Smith. Pat Howard also did well with the Tigers and is available.

I don't think Howard is available at all to be honest.

I don't really know what he's up to. He doesn't appear to be coaching though? He's an-ex Brumby and therefore not allowed for selection according to the laws set out by Biffo.
