Come Brumbies vs Tahs we will see how great Alexander is scrumming against a world class no. 3, assuming he plays 1. If he plays 3 then he goes up against Benny, and lately no one has gone well against Benny when he's on song.

If we want a runner we'll play Alexander, if we want the best set piece Baxter will get the nod.

Almost true. L. Weeks of the Queensland Reds might be considered very competent in the scrum and not shabby with the ball.

Did Weekes play in the front row week 1? If he did, I rest my case. And please don't blame the rest for not pushing.

oh please. Please don't do this again. We do it every year.

"Ok, Al's back. He's matured finally. Look at that Tah scrum. Its awesome. Shoving the Saffa scrums all over the place. Al's the man. Get him back in the Wallaby jersey. Put the past in the past. yada yada."

And then he gets back in the Wallaby team and then after a few tests we have to find a new THP cause we're being crucified in the scrum.

Move on. There is nothing to see here.

Despite the fact that Bam Pocock's back, the best and most consistent Super 14 player so far amongst the Australian teams has been the Force's Matt Hodgson, without a shadow of a doubt.

If I was picking a Wallaby team today, he'd be the first player selected.

Polota-Nau has been pretty good? He'd be the first I'd pick.

I'd also suggest that the Wairau River Reserve Marlborough NZ Sauvignon Blanc 2009 would be selected in the Wallaby First XV (despite being a Kiwi drop), if we were pressed to choose an equivalent grape......

Hold on, do you mean best forward, or just best player. Best player has been Genia. If you disagree you obviously don't know much about life.

Reddy, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Without the ball that Hodgson snaffles, Genia can do fuck-all with.....

Hodgson has been great and will be in the Wallaby squad this year as sure as God made little apples.

The interesting thing will be if Deans thinks his superb S14 form can be carried into 3N matches, which in my eyes is two levels above S14 rugby (one level above being the tests before 3N). Will he get a start there - and at whose expense?

The only thing I am sure about is that nobody should mention for a while that Pocock has no valid backup at 7. IMO that view no longer applies.

:lmao: Did you only start watching rugby this year? Obviously you didn't see the Wallaby scrum with Alexander at 3 for most of last year.

Except when he gets scrummed off the park like last week and against the Force.

The two top contenders for the Wallaby 7 Jersey are on the same team and, as of this week, will be playing at the same time. Interesting.

Alexander is going to be the 3, don't see a reason for Baxter to replace. Put Baxter in the squad, let him play some of the spring tour matches.

How did Baxter get scrummed off the park last week against the Blues?

Traitor. :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire: Can't find a decent Aussie SB? Try anything from the Adelaide Hills, Yarra Valley or Orange.

I was talking about Weeks not Baxter. Baxter hasn't had any problems with anyone thus far. Weeks struggled with Henderson and the Cheaters.
