Yeah Tom I think Cyclo may have been taking the piss when he said the Welsh weren't good in the scrum.

yeahh that's awkward

Tom,

Awesome summary of what we are up against on Saturday night though.

Gotta watch out for fish hooks on these boards.

Piss, (n). Sometimes used colloquially to refer to Beer but not always. When Gaggerlanders when not drinking it, they are often taking it.

I agree! Good work Tom!

I can also confirm Tom is correct. That is the team I am selecting for Saturday's game. I'm going to start Aled Brew and send Biggar home because I can.

So this what you are up against. A squad with copious amounts of depth, confidence and one that is gunning for you. Yet despite my belief that the Welsh team is on paper better than Australia's (at least in the forwards), you guys always seem to get up against us. Another bad omen is the fact that last time you lost to the Scots, you smashed us next week 33-12. So I could never take this Wallabies team lightly, because they seem to be developing into the new France - completely unpredictable. Can't wait for the match guys. It promises to be an absolute cracker and I'm excited to say I will be inside Suncorp on Saturday night.

Mate, you spent the first 552 words of your post talking up Wales and how much better their pack is then ours. Then you tack this little gem of a paragraph on the end to make it sound as though we actually have a chance in the series. Lets cut the shit: Most Australian fans, seemingly most Welsh fans and anyone with half a clue about rugby realize there is a strong chance Australia will lose this series.

Why would we think such a thing I hear you ask? Well, perhaps it has sometime to do with our very impressive national talent pool being squandered during Robbie Deans' tenure as head coach. Throw a lengthy injury list and a horror test schedule into the mix and you find yourself up against a Wallabies outfit far from its prime.

So, lets be completely honest here: Wales are most probably going to take out this series. Well, considering the build up they have had, especially when compared to ours, they most certainly should. In the likely event that they do take out the series, please, keep your feet on your ground, and count your lucky stars that you have become the 2nd ranked rugby team in the world because it will only be because the 2nd best rugby nation in the world (well, tied 2nd best with South Africa) has failed to fire under an awful administration.

Yes, I am making excuses.

No, I do not care if I come off as a bad sport.

These things need to be kept in perspective.

Anyone organizing a pre-game meet up etc? Happy to notify the QLD contingent in the Troup mailing list.

Cannot wait to see how North, Philips, Faleteau and Warburton have come on since RWC. Gonna be a cracking series. Only reason I can come up with for preferring one of the other NH side being better opposition is that we would be more likely to win.

Anyone else really worried about our ability to win this series?

I think a fair few people are concerned that we might let this one slip.

Is it too late to get a message to the Boyo's and ask them to go easy? Sorry mate, i am only hanging shit.

Do you live in Bisbane? If not, welcome mate and have a cracker of a night, may the piss run free. Wales will be awesome, I fuckin hate it when the dragon awakes and we have to play it, love watching you blokes roll anybody else though.

I'm a Welshman in South Australia. I'll be playing in a state Under 20 in the Gold Coast this weekend and as part of the package, we're watching the match. Cannot wait, haven't seen Wales play since the Australia game in the 2007 RWC. :D

If they bring Scott Quinnell over to give the team talk he'll wake the dragon and Aus should watch out. He was so inspirational on school of hard knocks, respected him as a player, but have huge respect for him as a person due to that show.

I hope he is nowhere near the welsh team. He makes Van look like a lightweight.

I wonder if Deans is going to have faith in Barnes goal kicking abilities, or whether Harris needs to be moved to fullback?

Barnes is our 5th choice flyhalf and we can't afford to go any lower...

Harris/Fainga'a really doesn't provide much attack in the centres, and McCabe rightly deserves to be at 12 off the back of his form this year...

I also wouldn't expect Morahan to retain the fullback spot... AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), or Harris for his goal kicking for mine...

If you are suggesting that Moore, Palmer, Slipper, Holmes cannot scrum, then you are a clown.
I think others have answered well enough, Jiggly.
Read more slowly next time, and the point might be clearer.
And no, I'm not a clown, but thanks for the suggestion anyway. I don't have the shoes for it.

But you have the supporting act (the Waratahs)!
