Wallabies vs Lions , 19th July Suncorp

Those clips are really searching for chances to have a go at the bloke. First one would help if it wasn't just Noah meekly pulling from the side to clean out and the last one is a great isolation pilfer from Fiji when JAS has a go but the ball is gone. JAS is actually flying in to get there while 2 Wallaby forwards lumber behind.

The clips just show a lot of errors from the team tbh.
I concur. The 'strip' which supposedly relates to his ball retention priorities in rugby league is just an error in the heat of 2-3 bodies, yes he should have hung onto it but he's human and humans make mistakes. Langi misses a tackle and they blame JAS for coming on and not leaving the ball runner to make a line break? Odd.

Yes, he has picked a mobile pack and reserves but one impressive thing about the Lions in the last few games is their linking between forwards and backs and their ability to spread the ball wide very fast. They will take the direct route initially and try and run over our smaller pack but they have other tricks in the bag. We need to start fast and well.
We will need to retain a lot of possession but also take risks to spread the ball by hand, foot and run. It’s a hell of a balancing act and I think that’s why we have those forwards, to support Wright, Jorg and Potter going for trots plus Lynagh kicking attacking-like.

JAS played a lot of rugby before going to the NRl. I think we can assume that he understands how to play our game.

RugbyPass knows, like everyone else, that Sualii is great for clicks. Ergo, just dial up some "Million dollar man is bad at rugby", and watch the coin roll in.

If there's one thing that has been very apparent for Sua'ali'i in defence he has been incredibly keen to try and rip the ball out.

I'm pretty sure he understands the differences between league and union.

That's a pretty common "I'm stonger than you" tackle technique in junior league isn't? Don't see it as much in NRL but there are 120+ one on one steals each year

Starting well is always a good thing, but I think the England game showed us if your plan is to run a team off their feet it’s not essential.

My concern is that winning collisions seems to be the best way to ensure success and we don’t seem to be trying to do that. But - realistically - maybe Joe didn’t think we could pull that off anyway.

Soap Dodger here....just wishing my Wallaby supporting friends a great series. Despite our obvious rivalry it is so important for the world game that rugby in Aus returns to some strength especially with the RWC coming up. Ideally this series is decided in Sydney in a real cliff hanger that captures the public's imagination. May it not be decided by yellow cards, off field reviews and controversial decisions. Enjoy the series and may the best side win, especially if they wear red.

We are just hoping that the Lions provide some real competition, after losing to Argentina, who are ranked lower than the Wallabies, it looks like a 3-nil loss to the Wallabies is likely.

It is really important for the world game that a combination of 4 countries can beat a single nation.
