Is Frost really that mobile? Don't get me wrong, he is fast in a straight line, but I've seen road trains do quicker three point turns than him.

Yeah I'd certainly say he is when it comes to the amount of ground he covers in a game, especially compared with the Lions locks. Doesn't have the greatest acceleration but you wont find many locks that cover as much ground and get involved in as many phases as Frost

But of course this will be the last Lions tour of Australia because no one cares about it...

One aspect Australia has in spades over NZ and South Africa is ticketing revenue will be substantially higher here because of the relative strengths of the economies.

Maybe Schmidt thinks the key to overcoming that vaunted Lions line speed defense is to have the more mobile, skilled, fitter team on the paddock. That would explain some of the omissions and the decision to run a very very quick, fit and mobile bench. The question becomes can they actually get on the outside of those defenders in space, and can they hold off the Lions big units coming at the them with a full head of steam

I guess we don't really know though given neither Gleeson nor Skelton were available for selection.

Schmidt's comments (that were similar to versus Fiji) that if it was the third test they (including Valetini) would have probably all played suggests to me that the team picked isn't the preferred team.

Those clips are really searching for chances to have a go at the bloke. First one would help if it wasn't just Noah meekly pulling from the side to clean out and the last one is a great isolation pilfer from Fiji when JAS has a go but the ball is gone. JAS is actually flying in to get there while 2 Wallaby forwards lumber behind.

The clips just show a lot of errors from the team tbh.

Skelton it could be argued was actually fit and not picked, based on some of the comments made. The "he's injured still we didnt want to risk it" line could just justification for the decision.. Tupou not picked, old JOC (James O'Connor) not picked, Paisami not picked, Josh Canham, Nonggorr... it's DEFINITELY because they arent as mobile as the other guys picked not because they want in the frame to be picked at all anyway!!

Yes, he has picked a mobile pack and reserves but one impressive thing about the Lions in the last few games is their linking between forwards and backs and their ability to spread the ball wide very fast. They will take the direct route initially and try and run over our smaller pack but they have other tricks in the bag. We need to start fast and well.
