Wallabies vs All Blacks 10th August @Optus Stadium Perth

To'omua is the least deserving Wallaby in the entire squad as far as im concerned. At least JOC (James O'Connor) had some half decent form at Sale. To'omua was slated before he came back from Europe, did nothing for Rebels in limited time and has been average to poor in all Wallaby outings (being played out of position at 10).

Yes while obviously an AB fan, and actually quite like To'omua, basically because he was coached by a good mate of mine as a junior at my club, but have struggled to see a hell of a lot from him since returning. As you say Derpus there was a lot of talk before he came back, but I assuming coaches/selectors see something in him that they want on the field.

Yep, JOC (James O'Connor) spent most of his time at 13 at Sale.

Actually, spent most of his games at 12, but did play quite a few at 13............

Although at least on one team list he was named at 13, but ran out with 12 on his back - he would often switch between the two during the match.

Anyways, I did call it a while back that we might see a Kerevi/JOC (James O'Connor) partnership at some point, but I do have some concerns.........

- Kerevi possesses the passing/offloading game to set up his outside men, but has not bee displaying that recently which saw Kuridrani starved of the ball in the first two tests

- Having Kerevi and JOC (James O'Connor) switch around between attack and defence to negate this might be problematic because we still require a stronger runner at 12 to get over the gain line, and Kerevi's defence at 13 has never been great.

- I can foresee some potential defensive issues here, particularly as Nathan Grey is still our defence coach

- Having said all that, I really hope JOC (James O'Connor) works out because his ability to play both centre positions gives us great cover going into the RWC, and then we might not have to rely on some other ageing plodders

Most of his time?

I was under the impression he had mostly played 15 and 12, with only a few appearances at 13.

I’m going off this:

There's been some really strange reporting around that.

He's been named by Sale 32 times in the last couple of seasons. Of those he came off the bench 5 times

He's been named at 10, 12 and 15 more than 5 times each, and played most of all at 13

Yep, when JOC (James O'Connor) joined Sale in his first year he was shifted around a bit, but in his last season he was strictly a centre going between 12 and 13.

I think the Wallabies will win this by a small margin. JOC (James O'Connor) will score two tries, get more turnovers than hooper, and be the hero for Australia.

Its crazy to think that JOC (James O'Connor) hasnt played for the Wallabies in 5 or 6 years (majority of his professional career) and still has 45 Wallaby caps.

He really shouldve done more.

We are about to find out if he is up to it. I’m guessing that he and Jordan Petaia will make a decent centre pairing post RWC.

Oh shit.

JOC (James O'Connor) "post RWC" will be back to the south of France so fast his baguette will spin
