True. I just feel that whichever team wins our pool will have all of the momentum (the true perk of being in the group of death). We know we can beat the all blacks on our day...also they love a good choke ;)

Worth a punt at that price. My current feeling is that if we top our group we'll go on to win the cup. However im not so sure we'll be able to beat england at twickenham

C'mon BDA, show some faith in these guys. "The best of the best from Oz"!

More seriously, on the subject of specialist coaches, the reason we don't have more of them isn't organisational incompetence, but money. When people mercilessly criticise the state of the ARU's finances, the first thing they light on is salaries. We simply can't afford a huge entourage like England's. The only QC (Quade Cooper) that's within our budget is Quade. No bucks, no Buck Rogers.

Personally, I haven't seen anything in England's games to date to justify any fear of them. Nervousness, certainly, since they're at home, and they're a bogey team. But the Wobs are a better side.

The main issue against Pommies is always the scrum. If the piggies can control it, the backline will smash their backline

The big issue with us against England is they invariably find a way to bore or bludgeon you to death, sometimes both. If we don't have a game plan that turns that around we'll be in trouble. They aren't the most inventive of teams but they know what they're good at and work very hard at imposing it on their opposition. Flinging it around won't beat them, taking the fight up to them and owning the gain line and the set piece and then going wide will.

They out-think us. They suck us into their game. I think it's payback for us sucking them into ours in 1991.

I would imagine that between Ledesma, Cheika, Moore, Simmons and Mumm they would be able to throw together a decent lineout.....no?

They should take Sharpie on board. He won't ask too much.

I for one bemoan the lack of a specialist catching coach. You might argue that the passing coach has this covered, BUT WE DON'T HAVE A PASSING COACH EITHER! The running off at half-time coach will have to cover both of their specialisms. What a schemozzle.

I will say, was never a fan of that 'staying on the pitch to soak up the atmosphere' thing that Link professed.

Happy Fathers' Day to all the Dads on G&GR.
I was just given a new Wallabies cap to replace the two rather faded examples that I have had for many years. They both had "We'll Sing Matilda" on the back!!

#GameOn.

Soldier Field looking a little messy on the TV Feed with all the NFL markings. Hopefully not too confusing at ground level for the players.

Go You Good Things.

Any doomsayers out there still concerned about our scrum coach?
