Christy Doran is reporting that Lolesio will start (which is not surprising).
I'm saying this as a Reds supporter, but Gordon's kicking game and general game management will be a lot more beneficial against the Boks than Tate's running game will be.Need Tate at 9 / 22 - toss up between White or Gordon.
Would have Philip in 4 and Frost on the bench (Arnold back to France)
Agree. Neither come close to the energy and quality that Tate delivers to the team.Bhahahahaha, not even close

why kick the ball (possession) away?I'm saying this as a Reds supporter, but Gordon's kicking game and general game management will be a lot more beneficial against the Boks than Tate's running game will be.

The object of the game is to score tries ( outpoint the opposition) and to do that you have to have the ball in hand to place it over the try line.
I have and tbh it isnt that impressive. You mustn't have watched much test rugby in the last few years.

who ever thought up this sort of strategy obviously didnt have faith or trust in the skillset of their players, and didnt want to do the work to get them up to speed.
To play devils advocate, imagine if you had Jonah Lomu on the wing and kicked the ball away every possession instead of passing it to him. I reckon he would not have stayed in the game and made an easy walk over to mungo ball.
Its like you haven't watched a game of rugby in 20 years. Rugby is about territory.why kick the ball (possession) away?

Hopefully Kellaway can tighten that up. If it's Petaia or Wright at the back we are fucked.Given how bad we were under the high ball last time out, Boks by 12.
That is being generous... to us...
I think Petaia is pretty good under the high ball. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Hodge at 15 with Kellaway and Koreibete on the wings with Petaia @ 23Hopefully Kellaway can tighten that up. If it's Petaia or Wright at the back we are fucked.

Thanks for that Scrans.
Tate to 21. Phillip to start, someone has to do the calling. I'm not writing off Arnold yet but he could start from the bench. Agree on 12 Paisami though doesn't seem to have as much support as he did previously.
I'd also be tempted to a 6/2, the tight 5 are going to be going 12 rounds in the heavy weight division. Can't imagine our locks stacking up here.
I think Foketi has a lot of potential at 12 and is starting to show it, probably why Paisami isn't as supported, more competition for the back-up 12 spot now (after Kerevi).
so the box kick that travels forward up the field by 10-15 meters is more beneficial than having possession? Its like you haven't watched a game of rugby in 20 years. Rugby is about territory.
