It's true that the lineout set the platform for 50% of all tries at the past 2 RWC's (more, in fact). However, it's also true that Australia scored the most tries of any team from their lineout, and the highest proportion of their tries from the lineout of any team, at the last RWC, with the Pooper.

Groucho, you will find that Pooper only played 4 games together at the RWC, and in two of those games the Wallaby lineout misfired badly, first against Fiji and second in the GF against New Zealand.. the other matches featured McMahon-Pocock, McCalman-Hooper and McMahon-Paul as as the bsckrow pairing.

Wallabies try scoring stats are skewed with the 11 tries scored against Uruguay accounting for 35% of all tries, Pooper didn't play that game

Fiji were the first team to target the lineout, and then the All Blacks exploited it in the RWC GF and other teams took note.. England targeted it in June and the All Blacks again made a mockery of it in the two Bledisloe Cup matches..

Slipper will be 31 and Sio 28 at the next world cup.

Not sure they'll be shifted. Amd Ready will find himself well ahead of Latu IMO.

late 20's-early 30's is a prop's prime isn't it?
That's when you know enough about the dark arts to really fuck shit up

More or less. Keeping yourself fit, a prop who starts well and continues improving throughout his 20s can go well into his 30s at near peak.

If there's a change in the rules, and/or a drop in fitness standards, some hit 31-33 and fall off the cliff.

For Slipper in particular, I think he'll be good for a long time. Sio has a good chance too, but I could potentially see him crashing if he loses a bit of pace and drops fitness standards a little. Still, I'd back them both in to play every game in Canary he's not injured for up to Japan 2019, potentially longer. Sucks for Toby, who I really rate, but thems be the hand that Australian Rugby's been dealt.

Wallabies by 18. Argies will be worse for wear for all their travelling and the Aussies are on something of a high.

Take that.

Meat Pie to Kerevi after no time at all (45 sec). Foley curls it in for the extra points.

Good Guys 7 Los Pumas 0 after 2 minutes.

Simon.

I had $6 on Kerevi to score first try, paying $15s... The rest are details now. :D

And a second try to DHP too, who would have thought that if you mix it up with the odd inside ball, you score tries?

Sanchez grabs his own meat pie, but Barnsie (like a typical lawyer) needs a second opinion from TMO.

Converted.

AUS 21 ARG 0 after 12 minutes.
