Re the Wallabies player rankings from the first French test, and the number of red (thumbs down) votes: Could this be our friends from across the 'dutch' just stirring?!

Yep in the interests of Aus Rugby the mods need to come down hard on that shit. Bans until the end of the test window perhaps? ;)

Sounds good. It's just not cricket suggesting what's been suggested.

I wouldn't mind seeing Skelton come straight into the starting line up for a 30 minute hit out.

I also think we looked much more dangerous with AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) in the 13 channel and would like to see more of that now he has learnt to pass.

A starting player should do a lot more time than 30 minutes, IMHO.

I don't know how you can play a guy in the 23 who cannot give you 80 minutes guaranteed.

You can't start a guy with the idea of yanking him after 30. What if the replacement goes down after 5? You have to plan on the worst case.

Did Skelton play the full 80 for the Tahs last weekend?

Planning for the worst case is the 'I don't want to lose attitude' not 'I want to be the best attitude'.

You have to cover reasonable outcomes but no coach ever put a game plan and team together for the worst case.

If Horwill starts and is injured, then jones comes on and is injured - what is the difference?

Maybe he can go for longer - I don't know but would like to see him in gold sooner than later.

Problem with having him on the bench is an early injury means he might have to go 75+. If he starts you can control his time better.

There is certainly doubt about it. Cummins has been playing very well this season and Speight as good as he is, cant be automatically assured of a spot.

He's better than Cummins so yes he's assured of a spot if he's not injured.

Anyone seriously know what the French can do from a selection perspective?

They have to grow some balls this week but other than starting Dusatoir to lead them and Picamoles at 8, what can they do?

Parra at 10? One of the other 10's on the tour. The Stade Francaise fella is raw but he can play a bit. Maybe Parra at 9 to kick for goal and provide some leadership.

How the fuck they can be here without Trinh-Duc beats me.

Flanquart can't do any worse than Vahaamahina at lock, who is ineffective for his size.
Bastareaud at 13.
Medard on one wing.
Dulin at fullback.

I dont know how good Lamerat is but it could be an option for Fofana, who was terrible on the weekend.

If France somehow fix their defensive issues in one week, and they purposely target the breakdown, I reckon this game could be decided by 10 or less.

Fofana is not going anywhere.

Remi Tales will come in at 10, Phantom will come in at 13, Thierry will play 6, Pickaxe at 8 and they won't be jetlagged anymore.

I think another pummeling is bound France's way and was not too surprised by the score in the first test. I think France will lose by 10-15 this time around.

It is the French... they could play the exact same line up and smash us... ;)... ideally not, but they are that random.

Good point. The French will be better but so will the Wallabies.
Is there any truth to the rumor that Palu is in doubt?

Love to see Higgers get 30 minutes either way. As the game opens up he can be very effective.
