I wouldn't mind seeing Skelton come straight into the starting line up for a 30 minute hit out.

I also think we looked much more dangerous with AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) in the 13 channel and would like to see more of that now he has learnt to pass.

Good decision in promoting Slipper. Such a valuable player for the wallabies now. Congrats to Hooper as well, well deserved and hopefully the little Duracell Bunny doesn't get caught up in the captaincy curse.

Unsurprisingly, Michael Hooper has been confirmed as the new captain.

James Slipper joins AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) as vice-captain

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!

champion effort to a real leader that considers himself as one of the same as his piers, for this reason he will lift them all to higher level.

I don't know how you can play a guy in the 23 who cannot give you 80 minutes guaranteed.

You can't start a guy with the idea of yanking him after 30. What if the replacement goes down after 5? You have to plan on the worst case.

Did Skelton play the full 80 for the Tahs last weekend?

Fardy can cover lock. It's not as much of a problem as people make it out to be.

But I'd still not start Skelton. Maybe on the bench.

Glad to see Chibba in the squad he's a better player than he's shown in the last couple of seasons.

Kuridrani needs to stay at 13. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) has had his chance there and time and time again the backline didn't fire. I think he's playing his best rugby on the wing.

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) has never let Australia down at 13 and would do a great job there.

Kuridrani started poorly on the weekend but find his rhythm in the second half.

Only the lack of wingers keeps AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) away from the 13 jersey on form alone

I was calling for AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) to be at 13 before the game, but the way Kurindrani played there and the way AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) played on the wing makes me think that this combination is the best for the Wallabies. Both had good games and I really like the size and defence of Kurindrani at 13.

Speight could find it hard to make it into the Wallabies matchday squad when he becomes eligible, I really like the combination of Beale and McCabe on the bench as well, gives good cover for the whole backline. And I don't see Cummins or AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) being dropped anytime soon.

Speight is just too good to not make the 23, I believe.
Maybe on the bench at first - he can come on to the wing, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) can move to 13 if needed. We have some good utility options in the squad like Beale, McCabe and Horne, so I can see flexibility there and if he hits form like he's shown in Super Rugby, Speight will be starting sooner rather than later.

Kurindrani had a great game at 13. Showed no signs of his apparent inability to pass at the Brumbies (great bat on for Hoops and pass to Beale to set up tries), and was devastating both in defence and attack with his hard shouldered running. Will be bloody handy having him around when we line up against England and Tuialagi next year in the pool stages.

And Speight provides some added x factor, combined with Folau..........

see how the crowd goes. no competing afl games in town sat night and none of quality at all on anywhere. if marketed right, with the media build up they should pull in 30+ much more affordable than the sydney and brisbane tests.

That's just plain scary... with Kurindrani looking as good as he was, having Speight, him and Folau all running hard will cause a lot of problems. Can't wait!
