This is going to be a disaster. NZ to win by 25. So much hype but a let down inevitable. Brace yourself fellas.

Wallabies team is not up to scratch to match a fiery AB team. All Black pack dominance to run riots over us. Lot's more penalties as well to come NZ's way we were very lucky last week. The hot and cold backline Australia have will hopefully turn out to be hot this week, but I get the feeling the cold will come this week.

I hope I am wrong.

I also think we'll struggle to get close, but the game is winnable. Like I said earlier in the week, we simply must find a way to beat these guys. It all starts with hardness at the breakdown. Get mullered in that part and we have no hope.

I stand by my predication earlier in this thread. Wallabies by 1.

No way can we lose to the All Blacks 8 times in a row.

Fun Fact:

There are 13 players in the Wallabies 22 this weekend who are either current or former QLD Reds players, or did their rugby education in the Queensland schoolboy rugby system.

Throw in Horwill, Hynes, Ioane, Higginbotham and Will Chambers eventually, and you may as well call this team the Qantas Reds.

Disclaimer: The QLD Reds are not responsible for the performance of the Qantas Wallabies...except when they win.

Goddamn I hate these trolls from QLD!

And now time for some good old fashion player match up predictions:

15. Adam Ashley Cooper VS Mils Muliaina
14. James O'Connor VS Josevata Rokocoko
13. Rob Horne VS Conrad Smith
12. Berrick Barnes VS Ma'a Nonu
11. Drew Mitchell VS Cory Jane
10. Matt Giteau VS Daniel Carter
9. Will Genia VS Jimmy Cowan

8. Richard Brown VS Kieran Read
7. David Pocock VS Richie McCaw
6. Rocky Elsom VS Jerome Kaino
5. Nathan Sharpe VS Tom Donnelly
4. Dean Mumm VS Brad Thorn
3. Salesi Maafu VS Tony Woodcock
2. Stephen Moore VS Keven Mealamu
1. Benn Robinson VS Owen Franks

For the props and wingers I teamed them up against their opposite in scrum or backline play.
So there you have it. Aus: 8 NZ: 7

Therefore Australia will win by 1 point like I predicted, that's my logic.

Hang on, Reddy! A post or two back you were basing this prediction on the theory of the statistical probability of binary numbers in sequence runs where AB W=1 and AB L=0. Namely, from start, 7 1s must soon precede an inevitable 0 (some time). The most rational approach to this game's result I would have thought, and I was about to applaud the powerful simplicity of your approach just when you zapped us a totally different basis for predicting. Are you confused, or just searching for a mathematical basis for hope?

I fixed it for you mate. Hopefully Anthony Fainga'a gets a crack at playing Nonu would love to see that match up, if there is anyone in the Wallabies 22 that can have a crack at that it would be Fainga'a.

No comment on back 3, flyhalf or openside.

Not much merit in comparing the teams like that. Take Nonu vs Barnes for example; their styles are different.

Yeah there is. The beauty of rugby is that its about how the players adapt to each game and how they can compare to each game. So there is a lot of merit comparing them. Each style will over ride anothers. It's how that style compares to their opposition counterpart.

Plus, it gives you another way to tip the AB's.
