I also thought Horne was good for his first cap. Was effective with what little ball he had.

And a special mention for AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) who was immense while he was on...

Why are so many people voting for Sharpe? He took the ball up a lot but completely neglected his duties as a tight five forward... again... he wasn't the only one though...

Like a few others, special mention to Horney. And I thought one of the Ma'afus was meant to be playing for us?...He's lucky to be the 'Bradbury prop' really. Can't quite believe I've seen Brown in the 3.2.1s here, he was appalling.

Oh, and I would like to officially apologise to Mr Sharpe, for perhaps unfairly maligning you for the past twelve months, based on that performance.

.

gee I think that's very very harsh. I thought it was his best game in the Wallaby jersey, albeit against average opposition. But his work rate, and effectiveness, was very high.

Agreed Mouse,
Give me Greg Holmes or even Al Baxter anyday of the week.

I agree that it was close to his best for the Wobblies - but that's using an awfully low baseline. He was often in the right general area (hence your work rate comment) but his effectiveness was laughable. He had no physicality to his play, didn't progress the ball a whole lot, and even shied away from picking up a ball with the Fijians coming at him. He was, overall, comprehensively outplayed by his very "average opposition." Against a top-5 nation, he would have been annihilated.

That said, he IS a better option than Hoiles.
