Just read the story. Bit of a storm in a tea cup. This wouldn't have even come to light if Link hadn't wanted to publicly embarrass these guys and make an example of them. It seems that no one broke any official rules, but its good to see Link laying down the law in an effort to improve team culture. I like the decision to suspend players. The players should now know what Link expects from them on tour.

Particularly disappointing for Gill and TPN who would have both been looking forward to some good game time against the Scots.

Cooper was not sanctioned, and with Beale and JOC (James O'Connor) gone, I'd say it actually has ended.

Or maybe QC (Quade Cooper) was just a support player in the muppeteer club. JOC (James O'Connor) and KB (Kurtley Beale) seem to be the President and Vice President. With them away, little point in QC (Quade Cooper) getting dragged into their behaviours.

Just speculating, but I'm guessing the three variations of punishment might be along the lines of:

- Really drunk, out really late, still drunk in the morning/missed team meeting? (suspended)
- Drunk, out late (written warning)
- Out too late (verbal warning)

I think it might have depended which group you were out with. If I read between the lines correctly there were several groups that went out separately. So maybe it was:

1. First group out late and drinking, not drunk: verbal warning
2. Second group out very late and drinking: written warning
3. Third group drunk, out really late - say >0100: suspended

Less firepower in the backs but Cummins does love a few meat pies...........

To be honest, I'm a little bit torn on this one. It's great to have team standards and I like that Link isn't afraid to lay down the law.

But if it's true that the players didn't break any team rules then I'm not so enthused. That doesn't excuse misbehaviour, but you can't punish blokes for breaking rules that didn't exist. It suggests that as management you're not accountable for the structures you do -- or do not -- put in place.

Having said all that -- it's fucking disappointing regardless.
