You're right barbarian. The Reds showed you can score by shifting the ball but you must be able to compete at lineouts and scrums.
and be better at the tackle, the Reds were stripped far too often in one on ones

Exactly. I noted in my review that the Lions counter-attack was potent enough.
@iainpayten said:Kurtley Beale is one of the Wallabies six squad additions. Quade Cooper is not. Full squad named tomorrow.
Until North came onto the field, their counter attack didn't look as crash hot as it's being made out to be. What made it "potent" was the first up tackles in the defensive line not being made. Farrell also doesn't seem to have the vision that Sexton does and it wasn't until the 50-60th minute when he came on that the Lions started playing deep territory rugby.
Last night really showed that the Lions lacked anything in the centres department without BOD. It reminded me of 2011 when Deans played McCabe/A Finger in there. Just crash balling with nothing happening.
Last night the Reds played a little too much ball in hand. There were times they should have booted it downfield and times they should have backed themselves. I felt they became somewhat predictable and added extra pressure on themselves instead of making the lions back think and adjust their backline.
I must've missed something because MMM is back on, but obviously still carrying an injury...
We can possibly rule out MMM after he just limped off the field...
"For now, Gatland will simply be relieved to have a proper videotape to review. He and his staff will watch it and be glad that the Australian coach, Robbie Deans, continues to have a downer about Cooper.
True, he is hard to fit into a rigid structure, but those 20-yard passes and blessed vision make him a nightmare to defend against. The Australians will need to gamble if they are to have a chance of denying this supremely powerful Lions outfit. Deans should have learned that in Brisbane."

Should but I doubt if he did.
?? MMM looks fine to me. He's playing pretty well though. looks to have a bit of rust, Playing wide of the ruck but is carrying well and is getting into position in defence well. As long as he pulls through uninjured he is surely a shoe-in

Tommy Bowe was going OK prior to that, too. Their centres might have been quieter, although I thought Davies pretty good, but the back 3 did pretty well.Until North came onto the field, their counter attack didn't look as crash hot as it's being made out to be. Pommy Journos.please. I hate this notion being past around that the only chance of the wallabies winning is by some moment of pure individual brilliance. Someone forgot to remind the Poms how fckn hard it is to beat the Wallabies at Suncorp. Just ask the All Blacks. We will beat the Lions by playing better as a team than they do. We'll be better at the breakdown, better in the collision, better in the set piece, better in the backline and more accurate defence.
As I've already pointed out. Will Genia is going to create more of a headache for the Lions than Quade Cooper would
