Cooper defended at 10 overnight in the absence of Lance. Interesting to see if that continues and satisfies Deans.

When is Burgess first game for the rebels. Surely he will play next week?

Still think white offers more kicking out of hand, but with JOC (James O'Connor) and Barnes in the team he might not ever be required to kick.

Sio, Ryan or Palmer ahead of Kepu.

Would have picked another lock or another back in place of Dennis and bought MMM in later. The lock would have been Douglas/Pyle and the back would have been White/Cooper.

I suppose Kepu is a known quantity at test level. Palmer lost form and got hurt at the worst possible time, while Sio and Ryan were probably deemed too green.

I absolutely agree with you on Dennis. I think he's a fringe international player, but a great Super one when firing.

Right so let's pick Ryan or Palmer who have 1 cap each.. Sio is a loosehead and in his first proper year of pro rugby. Ryan and Palmer are tightheads. Kepu is a tighthead or loosehead, he has versatility which is useful on the bench. He's the best performed tighthead scrummager thus far. Poor around the park no doubt but he should be on the bench. He's experienced and will be required to hold up the scrum if it goes to shit. Deserves his selection.

Well he went for a 6 so you have to name a 6. Whether it should've been a lock is another debate. He's the 2nd best 6 in the Australia (when Higgers is classified as an 8). I too would've had a lock though.

depends on if toulouse win or lose their top 14 semi final.
he could be back in two weeks time - so start of May which would give him two games for the rebels.

Kepu gives away numerous penalties around the park. He is more useless around the park than Palmer, who at least has a good run every now and then.

We don't need versatility anymore because there are 2 props on the bench. I would have gone for Ryan or Palmer, maybe Sio in the early squad to get him up to speed with the wallaby program, then bought ryan or palmer into the final squad.

Not if he falls off easy tackles. First try last night was an absolute sitter.

I reckon he will make it anyway Robbie is just sending him a clear message.

By far the most perplexing is Timani over Douglas. Ridiculous.

1. Benn Robinson (Ben Alexander)
2. Stephen Moore (Saia Fainga'a)
3. James Slipper (Sekope Kepu)
4. James Horwill (Rob Simmons)
5. Sitaleki Timani
6. Ben Mowen (Dave Dennis)
7. Michael Hooper (Liam Gill)
8. Wycliff Palu (Scott Higginbotham)
9. Will Genia
10. James O'Connor
11. Digby Ioane
12. Christian Lealiifano (Rob Horne)
13. Adam Ashley-Cooper
14. Joe Tomane (Nick Cummins)
15. Berrick Barnes (Israel Folau)

I will guess the 6 added are Hugh McMeniman, Kane Douglas, Luke Burgess, Ben Tapuai, Drew Mitchell, and either Quade Cooper or Kurtley Beale.
