Tizzano is a good player, but on the evidence of the rugby championship and spring tour there is still a pretty big gap between the two at international level.Tizzano is not all that far behind McReight.

My error, but the point still holds.Japan making the offer in this case. I get the feeling that the French clubs don't value 7s nearly as much as Australians do
Not overly surprised by that.It is interesting to see where the French clubs invest in players, and where Australian rugby does.
I don't think we would align very well with their priorities.
I don't necessarily think the French are right here
Not overly surprised by that.
They probably have so many they don't need to pay overs!#5 the highest valued in France. Here in Aus few fans seem to get the difference between loosehead and tighthead locks.
Surprised to see #3 so far down the list.
While I don't dispute that McReight is one of (or even) our best players, contracting is about opportunity and value for both sides. Is Tizzano as good as McReight, no but if he is willing to be contracted for half of what McReight is does that make McReight more expendable, of course it does.I don't think Tupou is a great example. It's clearly a bad contract that won't be renewed at anywhere near that price point.
We can't offer the same amount as an overseas team trying to poach a player. That would be foolish. We should be able to pay McReight about 80% of it though. He's a critical player and easily one of the best we have.
They’re all skinny, malnourished short kings over in France so they have to pay overs for locks. Whereas they grow on trees down here.#5 the highest valued in France. Here in Aus few fans seem to get the difference between loosehead and tighthead locks.

Yeah that list is essentially a physiognomy rarity scale with the exception of the halves. They’re all skinny, malnourished short kings over in France so they have to pay overs for locks. Whereas they grow on trees down here.
I guess if you buy enough of them as 16 year olds!!!They probably have so many they don't need to pay overs!
