Wallabies 2025

Yes, you'd assume the Fiji game will be a full strength dress rehearsal being the only warm up game, and any Tahs squaddies outside the likely 23 plus maybe a couple in positions we lack depth will be released for the Tahs fixture.
Just had a look - in 2013, 11 NSW international players weren't released for the Lions game. 2 were - Dave Dennis and Rob Horne.

Horne was subsequently named on the bench for the Wallabies for game #2

SOunds like a stuff up to me. I imagine that Tahs supporters would like to see the best team play the Lions as would Lions supporters. Then the match v Fiji one day later would either not feature a full Wallaby squad or the Tahs would have a weakened squad.

This is never how Lions tours work.

Why would I expect something different this time around?

From what I can see none of the Australian sides got to select all their Wallabies in 2013.

Yeah, I don't see the problem...

As Adam and BH mentioned above, the Australian teams played the Lions without their test players on the last tour as well because of Wallabies duties.

Also if you're trying to beat the living shit out of the Lions, better to get your squaddies to do it rather than guys who may worry about retribution in a later game.

Long time between games Slim many changes in recovery etc. The warm up game v Fiji I have no issue with but the Tahs fixture seems will be lacking some key players, depending on how they go in Super Rugby. The saving grace is that the B&ILplay Qld only 3 days before tahs.

I would assume that all the tour games will be without the overwhelming majority of the Australian test players (if not all of them).
