A groan of pleasure, I can only assume.I find it hard to stifle a groan with some of the suggestions on re-introducing Kerevi. What the hell, leave it to the coach to Schmidt it in.
Agree.Keeping hopes of a slam alive is hardly meaningless. imho.
My initial response was that I hate it, and I think I still do, but there could be some merit to it.A relatively simple solution is to start Kerevi at 12, and push Ikitau and Sua'ali'i out one.
12. Kerevi 13. Ikitau 14. Su'ali'i. Keeps the Flickitau/Jo combo together and whacks Kerevi in.
Samu does have 49 test caps and 10 yrs experience as a pro. We’re talking about the difference of him playing 2 extra games 8 months out.Fair enough.
I look forward to Kerevi starting against the Lions in a years time with no caps in 2 years because Ikitau or JAS go down injured.
To shoot down my own suggestion, Joseph's positive involvements were his ability to get his arms free and effect the offload, harder to do that on the end of the backline. My initial response was that I hate it, and I think I still do, but there could be some merit to it.
In Joe we trust.

What I'm reading is, we want JAS to have more touches of the ball.To shoot down my own suggestion, Joseph's positive involvements were his ability to get his arms free and effect the offload, harder to do that on the end of the backline.
At 11 with a similar game plan as Koroibete had, and I fear we'd see him with a card after the first kick chase and head high tackle, or receiver taken in the air.Strangely enough, I'd consider Kerevi at #11 looking to hunt for ball opportunities off the centres. Yeah it's along shot. Personally if we want to see Kerevi in action there is Aus A, isn't there. Right now I think we have more important outcomes to be building in the centres.
and maybe Campo would be happy with this too? Playing the Australian way...What I'm reading is, we want JAS to have more touches of the ball.
Perhaps the messiah should be shifted inside and wear the 10 jersey?
Then we can just have JAS, Kerevi and Len at 10, 12, 13 and we can get back to what made Australian rugby great "running it".
and maybe Campo would be happy
We could do that or start him at 12 with a view to ending the game with last weeks pair in the centres. We need backup at 12 and 13.Or just play Kerevi off the bench.
Sometimes the most obvious solutions are the best.

He is only 31 and being Fijian is in his physical prime. At his best he is a no brainer selection at 12. Imagine Sua'ali'i running off him.
It would be great to have a couple of top notch options moving into 2025 at both 12 and 13.
Not really, he may struggle to retake his start but his coverage of 12 and 13 sets him up pretty well to retain a squad spot, particularly with Kerevi only having limited time left. Paisami has plenty more to his game then we got to see this year too, I expect he'll flourish when he next gets his chance in a more settled team. Also just quietly has Lenny put Paisami out of a wallabies job?
