ok EDDIE - ageist.JOC (James O'Connor) (James O'Connor)
You really think JOC (James O'Connor) is wallaby material, last year v England in the 2nd test he was poor and on the 2021 spring tourok EDDIE - ageist.
Ahh. Back on the Wallabies discussion. I agree about both O'Connor and White in relation to the Wallabies for 2025/7 but Slipper is a bit like red wine. He has matured and just might make it through to the Lions tour at least. Hard to see him being displaced in two years by those coming through the ranks at the moment. You really think JOC (James O'Connor) (James O'Connor) is wallaby material, last year v England in the 2nd test he was poor and on the 2021 spring tour
He's 33 so slim chance of being able to play in 2027, something we also need to consider of playing guys like Slipper, White etc. in the next two years if they won't be playing the next WC
I hope you're right Froggy, and I'd even put Jack Barratt in the mix, especially for post 2025.Don't know about that BR. I'm a huge Slipper fan, but in two years he'll be 36, and young LHP's like Schoupp and Lambert are going to keep improving. You may be right, but two more seasons should see a lot of development in these young props
I said he was a wallaby - which is accurate. This was a side (and very off topic) discussion about which capped wallaby should be dropped from the starting Reds XV in order to accommodate Lynagh or HMP, not a suggestion of which capped wallaby in the Reds should be selected as a wallaby in 2024.You really think JOC (James O'Connor) (James O'Connor) is wallaby material, last year v England in the 2nd test he was poor and on the 2021 spring tour

No way was he a shout for 2024, he'd be no chance of making it to the next WC and if for some stupid reason he was picked then we wouldn't of learnedQC (Quade Cooper) (Quade Cooper) just posted a social of his fractured cheekbone from the club game just played in Japan.
With Eddie gone he may have been a shout to make a Wallabies squad in 2024 but I imagine he will be out of action now for at least 6-10 weeks until any contact.
At 36 years old next year it might be time to call it curtains.

If we took the time to develop guys like CG and ensure they are around 40 caps by the time 2027 rolls around then we wouldn't be in a postition having to go back to rejects like Quade or Foley
I have faith Carter will continue to improve a lot
Quade was not the answer for this WC or ever in the future, Barrett, McKenzie, Mounga'a, Farrell, Ford, Smith, Sopoanga, Russell, Bigger, Sexton, Anscombe, Pollard, Libbock, Willemse, Ntamack etc. (and Im sure I've missed a few) are all much better than Quade
Can't believe people thought he should've been in the WC squad
Who debuts this year? I Think we'll see Flook going on last years performances. Anyone got a potential Bolter for a jersey?

Everyone forgets our best hooker overseas Brandon Paenga amosaHooker has me stumped. Can’t see us winning anything of significance with Porecki our first choice. I’m keen to see what Mafi can do for the Rebels, looks fit and is getting a full preseason and still very young for a bloke who will be close to 100 super caps when the season ends.
Mafi is a good call. I think Pollard can push himself into the top 3 Hookers with game time and fitness.I’m expecting we may see a number of props and hookers given a run through in the next 12 months.
Taniela, AAA and Bell clearly our best international standard choices. Unfortunately also been on the injured list far too often.

Toole and Jorgensen are both a pretty good chance of a debut I think, wouldn't be surprised to see one of the uncapped young tens get a chance either, but it's pretty open at the moment. He can't arrest things once they are going off the rails. If anything he doubles down. It's happened everywhere he's been.
Anyways, enough Eddie. He's got nothing to do with the Wallabies 2024 (scars sure).

Josh Canham. Had a good season last year, very tall but could do with a couple of more kgs. With a number of 2nd rowers moving on we need to bring a few more through and he reminds me of Courtney Laws.He can't arrest things once they are going off the rails. If anything he doubles down.
