Wallabies 2024

Overtime

I am really looking forward to watching Joseph-Aukuso Sua'ali'i play. He might take a little bit to reapply his trade at the international level however he is exactly what we need in the backline. I big body who can get over the advantage line. It doesn't matter if he is full back or inside center he can swap and change as needed with Tom Wright who finally has shown his potential and has been the best so far this year in an under per forming backline. I am on record as saying a number of years back that I thought Wright could of made a terrific fly-half though it is to late for that now. I still however stick to what I said back then it is a shame that he was never given the opportunity there as he could of also been exactly what the Wallabies needed now.

Will he get the ball with Lolesio there? If he’s our best 10 I’ll give it up. Marcus Smith will destroy him.

I agree, that Sua'ali'i’s physicality and versatility will add a new dimension to the backline......
Having someone who can break the advantage line consistently is a huge asset, and pairing him with Wright, who’s finally hitting his stride, could be a game-changer. Unfortunately, Wright didn’t get a shot at fly-half, but he’s proving his value in the backline now, which is great. Exciting times ahead for the Wallabies!

There's no reason why Wright can't join the back line as a second distributor, especially if we pick two big centres. KB (Kurtley Beale) (Kurtley Beale) did it from the wing back in in RWC2015.
Are Wright's hands that good? I haven't watched this aspect of his play much, as a wing he didn't pass much and at FB I've been too focused on poor defensive reads to notice his passing ability.

Yeah they are. Very quick

Iv'e wanted to see him play 12 in any sort of game and see what he does. He may have only had a short stint with Manly in the NRL but they wouldn't have put a kid out there at five-eighth (6) who doesn't. Des might be mad as a cut snake but he knows footy players and developed some big times halves in league.
