Wallabies 2023

Curious to know about the dynamics now in the Wallabies with Hooper and Cooper out. Listening to the recent podcast with Nawaqanitawase and Bell, they absolutely worship Hooper & Cooper. Saying Cooper is an absolute freak about the game, so measured, practiced, dedication is off the chats, talk about him like he's some guru savant, they think he's the god of rugby. Eddie certainly would've turned the squad upside down, ballsy move.
I think EJ (Eddie Jones) has decided to go with 'Yes Men' in the squad. Hooper and Cooper may have been pushing back on things or asking questions he doesn't want to spend time and energy answering. Easier to get a clean slate and start with all the young guys. Might also be why Skelton has been picked as Captain.

He has the luxury of being able to think past this RWC to a certain extent. For a lot of people, getting to quarter-finals will be considered a pass mark.

Zane’s not up for test match rugby yet

The point is not about Nonggorr, the point is about HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes). I'll fully admit I've never rated him (IMO even at his best he's a Black and Gold Ben Alexander), but my opinion went well backwards on him again this year: his set piece work went from less than optimal but competent to severely lacking. For someone with 70+ Super caps, that's just not good enough.

Too many cooks in Eddie's kitchen for his liking maybe?
Yes - we certainly can't have senior players that are well versed, experienced and capable of challenging Eddie's methods & potentially butting-heads and risk creating an internal division within the squad between the senior and junior squad members (think Quade Cooper's 'toxic environment' comments in reference to Robbie 2012).

It's well documented that Eddie - much like Robbie, is not an inclusive collaborative coach such as Link, McKenzie who involved Quade as much as possible when it came to implementing the game plans and strategy at the Reds.

Eddie is very much aligned towards Robbie's dictatorial 'my way or the highway' approach, hence their widely unpredictable and impulsive dispatching of experienced senior figureheads like Cooper/Giteau who swiftly became considered 'surplus to requirements' & viewed very much as a 'threat' or as troublesome agitators - due to their highly advanced rugby knowledge.

It's all one big ego trip mate. Eddie solely wants to be the top-dog & similarly that's where Robbie's canine nickname originated.

i think it really just comes down to Cooper not being fit enough or sharp enough compared alternatives - Gordon and dare I say it Donaldson.

Because he's earned it over other players, i.e. Wright and Hodge. Takeaway his age and compare all 3 players individually based on their super rugby performances and Jorgensen was clearly above Hodge and marginally better than Wright.
Earned it playing 10 super games, not playing for 3-4 months and still not training atm? Yep….

He is training mate.

Even with his 10 super games, he was still one of the better Australian super rugby players.

Just so you know I was never against Wright and Hodge, in fact, I have been a supporter of Wright on this forum for ages (even during his painful to-watch fuck ups), and I still think he should be included in the squad. But he's not. Eddie and multiple people on this forum clearly see Jorgensen's talent and believe he can perform.

Just full on with the complete assumptions again
