Wasn't Erudite one of the Elves in Lord of the Rings? What does erudite mean? I'm dumb.
Accused of having humour. It's a step up from the usual feedback I get from banning fluffybunnys on the schoolboy threads.I stated that of what he suggested the only one not there was Marky. I think that was a pretty good shot. None of you would have guessed that Tate and Gordon would be our 9/10 or that Tom Hooper would be there.
The entire G&G site saw it all as a possibility. These are a few detractors of which you were one (hypocrisy anyone?)wrote:
Ghost: Please call 1800 333 000 about this individual.
Wallaby Man: Yes this guy knows more than Eddie Jones, Dave Rennie, Rob Baxter, Dan McKellar, Laurie Fisher and Stephen Larkham.
Say hello to Campo for us
Slim293: Old man in bizarre rant shocker...
Cyclopath (at least some humour): Simultaneously trolling Brumby Runner and Rodha!
RugbyReg: I love my old man and he has also been around rugby for a long time and coached at a pretty high level, but he reckons Harry Wilson should move to hooker. Whatever.
I must applaud your brilliance in seeing this as a possibility. NOT....

As a moderator, I only know people who run rugby, not play it.My head is spinning. You're a moderator - if I don't even know anyone involved in pro rugby, am I still allowed to post here?
Erudite? Man pull your head in. Coming across as loquacious and rather pompous.Hi, I get it that you are trying to kiss arse here but really!
I have never claimed to be mates with Bob Dwyer and only met him a couple of times in my life. Many wingers are not all wingers, LW posters is my perception based on the cheer squad that turns up at every hint at LW ideology and boo any RW ideology. Smart arse replies such as those ageist ones against me (which I find childish) and derogatory suggestions regarding Bob Dwyer.
If you want to attack me you will have to do a lot better than this little piss whistle.
BTW I don't do complaints, so you can say what the fuck you like and I'll reply as I suspect I am more erudite than you are.

No thanks. I will not be taking advice from you regarding my pov. If you are OK with being played yourself after posting your views on rugby and suggesting I should 'pull my head in' without having a right to reply, then I suspect you are bumptious (Crudely or loudly assertive; pushy) and somewhat lacking in awareness of the situation.Erudite? Man pull your head in. Coming across as loquacious and rather pompous.
Can we get back to not playing the man regardless of opinion?
I completely stand by my quote. He knows less about the current game than all of these people. And as you could see with my Campo reference I don’t believe people from a bye gone era of play and professional standards have a good insight on what’s required these days. It’s similar to getting crazy political commentary we often get from John Howard and in particular Paul Keating these days.I stated that of what he suggested the only one not there was Marky. I think that was a pretty good shot. None of you would have guessed that Tate and Gordon would be our 9/10 or that Tom Hooper would be there.

Yeah, great insights from the current insightful people have ensured we have won every title in the last 20 years!I completely stand by my quote. You love being dicked around by ya mates don't you...spicy minx6-week break from that noise to dick around with your footy pals in Europe?
There's a reason he's called DP, and it's not because of his initialsYou love being dicked around by ya mates don't you...spicy minx
I don't believe he was better then Wright.. you can take away his age and add in the fact he had a major knee injury hasn't played for 3 months and isn't fit yet....Because he's earned it over other players, i.e. Wright and Hodge. Takeaway his age and compare all 3 players individually based on their super rugby performances and Jorgensen was clearly above Hodge and marginally better than Wright.
I’m not a fan of the Boomer tag, it’s a shit thing to throw at people as a slight. Many Boomers are exceptional at what they do. But Bob Dwyer hasn’t been apart of a high performance program for decades. He wouldn’t have a good idea about modern day sports science, tactics, etc. almost everything he would have taught wouldn’t exist in the modern game. Of course he would have more idea than the average person on certain aspects but he would be a fish out of water if tasked to coach in the modern day. The 60+ guy taking us to the RWC hasn’t left the game and has developed at the same speed the highest level of the game has. Every aspect of life is like this. You could be an IT specialist 20yrs ago but would be out of your depth if you decided to re-enter the profession if you hadn’t been directly involved in it for the last 20yrs. People would laugh at how you tried to problem solve things and the techniques used to apply them.Yeah, great insights from the current insightful people have ensured we have won every title in the last 20 years!
If you grow old and know nothing then I would agree, but to say Dwyer has less insight into what makes a good player than Rennie etc is impossible to accept, maybe "Dwyer is just another boomer" will be the cliche you might like to hang your hat on?
Note: it will be a 60+ year old boomer you are expecting to bring in another excellent age of Australian rugby after this Cup.
It’s still better than those two guys arguing about Quade and Hooper.Never thought I'd miss the Deans/McKenzie retrospective....
Apologies I missed that from you. Why didn't you state that at the time I posted what Dwyer suggested? Your post suggested he had no more idea than your old man's view of Harry to hooker.I said Gordon would be in the wallabies by the end of the year last year! And I’ve always been a Tate supporter.
That were the aspects of your post most of us were wary about …..
Agree with most of this apart from I believe he has a better idea of what makes a good footballer than all in his time and most today. Your analogy of being out of his depth coaching today is true.I’m not a fan of the Boomer tag, it’s a shit thing to throw at people as a slight. Many Boomers are exceptional at what they do. There would be T2 and T3 sides incorporating more advanced things than Dwyer was in his pomp. The resources at their hands would be multiple what he would of been used to.
